need scent mixing ideas

I want to use my Mediterranean Fig, but I'm not sure what to mix it with to compliment the season coming up.

Anybody have any ideas?

TIA

Maybe if you mix it with Cake Bake or Carrot Cake, or whatever is in the recipe, it'll smell like the 16th century Christmas dish, Figgy Pudding! :Dhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Figgy_pudding

Here's a recipe: http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/holidays/christmas-ideas/figgy-pudding-recipe-laura-kalpakian

And here's another recipe for Figgy Pudding: http://www.food.com/recipe/figgy-pudding-337148

And this is supposed to be the authentic vintage Figgy Pudding recipe, as well as a vintage Plum Pudding recipe: http://www.squidoo.com/plumpudding

The Med. Fig I have is from Elements. It's earthy. A Trapp dupe, I think.

I pulled out Grandma's Kitchen (BC), Cake Bake (Island), and Vanilla Nut Spice Special (BC). I'm going to try to mix it with these and see what I get. I'm hoping for a Fig Pudding even though I know my fig is earthy, not sweet. I wish I had a FO with raisin in it to add.

I just poured some tarts with .5 Med. Fig, .2 Vanilla Nut Spice, .2 Cake Bake, and .1 Grandma's Kitchen. I'm not liking it. Maybe tomorrow I will.

I was thinking about cranberry, too, Horsescents.

I also poured bartlett pear with cinnamon stick and red clove. This smells good. I think I put a touch of vanilla in it as well. (my notes aren't in front of me)

Spruce with shortbread and harvest, too. A keeper.

I'd keep it simple. Might just be a case of too many scents in one blend. But then again tomorrow it might smell perfecto!

I would try a 50/25/25 blend of:

med fig, cake bake, and eggnog (creamy vanilla spiced rum) and see if that's gives you a better Figgy Pudding fragrance. Reverse the blend, and you'll get something more akin to fruitcake, which depending on your customers might also be a winner.

Both are very festive!

I wonder what Med Fig + bayberry would smell like together?

I just wanted to follow up on my previous post and say that SOS has a new Pumpkin and Fig fragrance that sounds really nice. The reviews are good too! Might could try pairing the Med Fig with some good ole Pumpkin FO, and maybe a bit of Rosemary to add a piney Christmas note without going full on "Pine" which I think would be too overwhelming.

Could try:

.50 Med Fig .33 pumpkin (sans spices) .17 Rosemary

That sounds really good! I would have to find a good just plain pumpkin though. Any suggestions rctfavr3?

Unfortunately, No. I don't have a perfect suggestion. I'm actually having one of my blends duped to create one. The closest 2 I've come across are "Pumpkin and Fig" at SOS and "Perfect Pumpkin" from BCN. Both are close but only about 80% realistic, IMHO. Just tried Pumpkin and Fig...it's more earthy, but also more sweet(which I didn't particularly like)

So, I went ahead and blended the 2 and mixed it with a little Carrot Seed EO and Wellington's "Pumpkin" and created a more realistic scent, I'D say about 95% on point.

I'll have it duped at SOS, and should be added to their site in a few weeks (or as soon as I can ship it)
