  1. from RE/AH. Has anyone tried these and have recommendations? I'm going to be placing an order in the next couple of days and am debating on which ones to try. They sound pretty good! Thanks!, Tammy
  2. Let's see... there's a few! Oregon Trails Peaks Aroma Haven/RE Scent Works Tennessee Wanting to try Daystar too, but out of funds right now!
  3. Very pretty!! I love them all! If you don't mind me asking, where did you get that adorable stamp? I've been looking at them, but it seems everyplace has the exact same ones. I just want something a little different, but I don't know exacly what yet..kwim?:undecided
  4. Thanks katshe, I'll try a whisk first the next time. My stick blender worked well, but I made one heck of a mess at first with all the splattering going on. Now I'm waiting for some IPM to get here. I liked what I made so far, but it is a touch too draggy and greasy for my taste.
  5. They do? Good!! I love this scent! Gonna go check it out!
  6. Well, I just finished whipping it up, and so far so good! I did up the ewax 5% and lowered the oils and used my stick blender in 3-5 min intervals. I finally got tired of waiting for it to cool on it's own and put it in a cold water bath for a few minutes. My poor stick blender is so hot now! Michi- I know what you mean, I love going to soapcalc and making new receips and trying them out.. That is sooo much fun! Hopefully, after I make a few batches of butter/lotions I'll be more sure of myself. Thanks guys!
  7. beesweet- I'll lower the oils by 5% and up the ewax by 5% and I'll use my stick blender to see what happens. Being a newbie at this I don't know what kind of percentages to start with:rolleyes2 . Thanks for your help!
  8. katshe- I'll try uping the mango & ewax a touch and lowering the oils. Thanks! MsDammit- The first batch I used a hand mixer, the next one I used my kitchenaid and this one I'm back to the hand mixer. Could the ka have overmixed it? Or is that even possible?
  9. I've been trying to make an emulsified body butter, but am having ISSUES!! First batch got nice and creamy, then later seperated, next batch never did emulsify, just stayed a nasty, seperated mess:( . This batch seems to be better, but is still seperating some. And it's not very smooth. About how long do you mix? Do I just keep beating the crap out of it? Or try again? Here's my receipe....can some of you experts please give it a look-see and tell me if it should be ok? 10.4oz distilled h2o 1.0oz stearic 1.0oz ewax 5.0oz oils--used 2.5 rbo + 2.5 mac 1.0oz shea 1.0oz mango 0.2oz fo 0.2oz pres 0.1oz vit e 0.1oz cornstarch This is driving me nuts!!! Thanks!!
  10. Alright, I couldn't resist.. I ordered me 3 bars. Can't wait til they get here! Except now I'll have something to compare my soaps too!
  11. I just received mine last Wed evening, so Thursday am I had to try them out. Used Artic Raspberry from SW and swirled with a very pretty (and intense) pink. Maybe should have used less.. but we'll see!! But anyway, they are too cool!
  12. Wow! That is gorgeous! Wish my swirlies looked that good!...
  13. I get mine at Lowes in the plumbing department.
  14. I just got the same pans except with Christmas themes and am using 3-eco 2's with GL 70/30. It is doing well so far--not quite halfway burned yet.
  15. I've always had good luck with the htp 41 in that wax.
  16. Thanks!! I don't know which I like to do more now candles or soap?!
  17. The picture is small?!! On my monitor it is HUGE!! What is up with that? I admit I'm pretty dense when it comes to posting picures though!
  18. after looking at grumpy's creations, but here are my first two batches. Pink is Pink Sugar and the other is Fruity Booty. I have no soap colorings (want some micas now!) so the pink is colored with some BareMinerals and the other is with paprika! Thanks for looking! edited to try to increase size of pic!

  23. Ok, actually 2nd time...but 1st time was several years ago and the recipe was completely spelled out for me, soooo... How do you figure out the amount of fo to use in a cp recipe? I know that is probably a completely stupid question, but what can I say! Thanks!
