  1. Nail Polish remover will take that off, an extra step I know but at least it isn't permanent
  2. Well... I just talked to Miss Becky over at Just Scent, she was nice enough to call me and personally tell me in her testing what results she got with the Carib. Salsa. Yay! For Soy - she said she used 10%, heated to 180, but added the oil at 165 (she said that was how she was taught years ago, and it has always worked for her however, she is not suggesting that is how we do it, it is just how she does it ) I am going to try to tweak a few things, and she also suggested wicking up on that one - so that will be one of my tweaks. So nice of her to call me and hopefully I will get a candle out of this yet!
  3. I think is where I whimper and whine LOL... yes it is DROOL in B&B but I hadn't been pushing those so much lately. I could do room spray too. I am in pursuit to find something similiar that will throw. I normally do avoid citrusy stuff for this very same reason argh! I was rather hoping a longer cure time would do it but even at almost 2 weeks I am just getting a soft caribbean salsa "glow" in the room. I suppose better than nothing at all but not knocking my socks off.
  4. oh DUH I did say that sorry!! I don't use the CBA but sometimes people can get FOs to work in those so I forgot I mentioned I do have an unused box. I am SO FAR liking 415. When it takes an FO it takes it well and throws it far. That I like.
  5. did I say CB Advanced? So sorry I use GB 415
  6. Thank you Carol! I am determined to make the 415 work, I do love that it burns so long and when you can get a scent to throw in it boy it does! I am going to order a sample pack from them then. Cozy Home smells delicious too! Too bad though that they didn't let regulars still pick up their orders then maybe others could have met up to get their stuff ya know.
  7. me either, sounds like a FO swap might be in order LOL
  8. LOL... What I MEANT was that she can't even get real brownies even when using the box. Whereas most people can! She couldn't even boil water I think LOL.
  9. LOL then you have never seen what my brother's girlfriend can do with a box of brownie mix! (it isn't good!!)
  10. i have a very sensitive nose and have a hard time getting past OOB and forcing myself to actually put it in wax if I don't like it that way. This hayride sounds interesting though!
  11. Ok I can't get an answer on that one so I did some googling and found that these companies carry the Caribbean Salsa (Slatkin Type) dupe as well: Cierra Candles Brambleberry under "Sweet Meyer Lemon" Early American Candle Co. The Candle Maker's Store (grade A and B?) House-of-Soy Has anyone tried any of those in 415 and has tips on achieving great HT?
  12. JS Vanilla Bean Noel and NG Vanilla Valentine
  13. I hadn't poured the Spice Market because I had envisioned it to be more like Brambleberry's Nile Queen... more of a middle eastern spice market/lovely incense BUT I will probably pour it since you all seem to love it so much in wax. Maybe it will grow on me
  14. Thanks ladies! What is Cozy Home similar too? Is it a cinnamony apple pie type scent? Carol K - I have been using JS chestnuts and br sugar but it seems weak lately in soy. How does theirs compare? Do you use just soy? Ok, where is this guy in Lafayette so we can all get him! I HATE when 1 person ruins it for everyone! Shipping from MC to me 45 min away is only $2 cheaper than if I order from North Carolina for some reason. ??
  15. well that's not far at all! We should have a mini convention he he
  16. well I'm from Columbia City (west of Fort Wayne) -- lived in Tampa 12 years and moved to South Whitley to help care for my Grandmother who is on hospice ... she was given 6 months, it's been 2 years but this week we were told any day by the Dr. sigh.
  17. ok i have no idea what is happening with my computer LOL.. but THANK YOU Carol, I appreciate the input. I wish they had local pick up because I am only like 45 min away. I am trying to work the 'bugs' out of 415 as overall I am happy with it because when you get an FO that is compatible it will throw hot like crazy!
  18. I called Mill Creek since they are pretty close to me to inquire of their FOs... I understand that they test all of their fragrances in their MC125 which is GB415.... I was wondering what others experiences are with their FOs in all soy. I am trying to limit my "throw aways" by working with companies that test in soy. TIA!!!
  19. i meant to add that I let it cure for 1 week, and I will relight it in another week. I just so super love this fragrance! Hoping somebody else might have an answer
  20. Ok I am in LOOOOVE with this FO from Just Scent but I can NOT get a good HT from it The CT is knock yours socks off and I can actually smell it better cold than hot. Here is my parameters: 9 oz salsa/straight side jar from Filmore CD12 Wick 1.5 oz FO per lb. of wax using 415 with a bit of crisco. I do have a box of CBAdvanced that I haven't tried it in if anyone has and it throws better in that or whatever wax it will I LOVE it so much!! TIA!
  21. i second or third that -- the one I got in soy smells like a weak vanilla to me IMO... I ordered it only because of the strong reviews. Has anyone tried the one from Tennessee?
  22. well that's clear as mud LOL... but since only Tennessee has VBN in their list of fragrances I am going to assume the others mean them. Thank you so much!!
  23. pardon my ignorance, but who is TCS? I am still learning the acronyms and I currently only purchase from about 3-4 suppliers but I would make a 5th to get a VBN that throws/sells! thanks!
