I have used blueberry, vanilla, lavender, Cinnamon, ocean breeze, rose petals. That is just a few of the scents I have from LoneStar. I would say I have had a great experience using them. I use Soy wax and there Lavender scent is great.
I use CB-135 EcoSoya brand I have found it is the best preforming of my container waxes but I have not experimented with a whole lot of different kinds. I will say I have used Paraffin also but I do not like working with it. I call it my iccy sticky gooey wax but the scent throw is great. I also have a vegetable wax C-3 container wax.
All I have to say is I have been making candles for years and just when you think you have it figured out then some thing happens. The wax, fragrance, wick, or time of year all have a whole lot to do with it. Do not listen to me I am just grasping at straws so they say.
I use the aluminum pillar molds and I use the wick centering equipment. I do not know the proper name for them. I have never used a wick pen. I do use the mold putty. I have got wax all over the kitchen be for so a word of advice. Keep an eye on the mold full of wax while it cools. LOL I am serious. P.S I personally use Pam instead of mold release it works for me. But I only use one squirt.
When I started making candles this has been years ago. I purchased some books that said you can use crayons to color in small amounts. I was wondering if any one has done that.
I have the same problem. I have a web site where you can see who is on and they have a shopping cart but I have yet to make any money. My husband thinks it is the shipping. I am already losing money in the shipping I can not go any lower. Good Luck to you. I know hand made is better than that stuff you get in the store.
I have the exact same wax. I have done a whole lot of experimenting and I have found out for me is the WR 2003 from the Candlewic company (This wick works great for me for votive). It also depends on the scent you use. I have found out that any scent that has butter in the name I use less scent.
I just got done making a candle for us out of left over wax and fragrance. I just got done filling a whole lot of orders. I always have some left over wax. I layered the jar.
I am going to pick up my candles today. I will still sell them online at www.greencountrycandles.com I only got the table for the month of November. It is designed to promote small business owners. I did put a whole lot of different candles there. Everything from jars to pillars. A whole lot of different scents.
2 days left. I sold 8 candles yesterday. 6 spiced apple and 2 blueberry. I personally like the vanilla oak scent but that is just me. I heard that my blueberry scent reminds some one of Pixy sticks.
