  1. You may be able to search the archieve section for the guide. Sorry I don't have it.
  2. If you are asking about the top of the candle I don't. Don't want to mess up the top with the heat gun. If you are talking about the bottom, I use tabbed wicks(as "the Duck" does) and yes I hit the bottom with the heat to stick the tab to the candle. HTH
  3. Brad you may try a search Using that FO or Wax to pull up past posts, also try the archives. Sorry don't use that wax.
  4. If mystical doesn't have them BittercreekSouth has 3oz straight sided clear holders 24 for $10.08.
  5. If you advertise 100% cotton the Zinc wouldn't be nice to through in there. (I personally wouldn't ad. that way I like diff. wicks for some fo's.):rolleyes2 But if your adv. is already in place and don't want to change you may not be able to carry those scents. I'm sure you want all your candles to have that burn that you've perfected. jmo
  6. Not a B&B maker here, just look in every FEW months. Trying to not let you all sucker me in! LMAO Maybe this would work, put them in some tulle tied with ribbon and sell them as hand or bath scrubbies depending on the soap. HTH Just an outsiders idea.
  7. Yep saw the commercial for them. Now waiting for someone to ask "Why don't you have those?" Thinking you don't want to pay for handpoured "standard" are you really going to want to pay for a "speciality" candle. As soon as I saw the ad I was started envisioning the nightmares!!!!
  8. But if you do decide to get the votive starter kit do remember to order the wick pins as E suggested. Well worth the money, and after you make them this first time you will get hooked and continue, so well worth buying the wick pins!
  9. Lisa that is the way to go!!! Works great. Learned this on the old CT site.
  10. Not all weirdos, but some of us can be funny to deal with, and seem weird:p Having been away for awhile my head spins from the info trying to catch up on. As Celicagtca says your head will spin so hold on tight. Welcome!
  11. Go Chester, Go !!! Live on in the Candle, be an embed .LOL LMAO at this post, but living in FL I guess we see bugs, but doesn't mean we like them. Die Chester. Die!
  12. Being nosy here, how did you get that color? First I guess I should ask what wax, probably soy since I don't use that & have never achieved that color. Enquiring minds want to know!!!
  13. I received Astor F from a past Secret Buddy. Finally tried it a few months ago, love the look....But had trouble with trying to color it. What I was trying went the other way. Matches great in L.R. but was trying to contrast. Afraid to burn because of comments on this wax. But I Love the Look.
  14. No water bath here either.... Maybe alot of us are just too lazy to fool with it(no offense meant, speaking of me). But do put the molds in the fridge for awhile first, until cold.
  15. Have to have a butterfly one!!! Love that.
  16. I agree with everyone else. GET some wick pins for votives. You can get them from Peaks etc... where ever you get your molds(usually). You won't go back to the way you are doing the wicks now. And yes, by all means remelt those babies in a low( about 150 degree) oven and reuse that wax. Waste not want not!!!!
  17. Lin those are beautiful!!! FinallY!!LOL. Seriously, very nice work.
  18. Those are wonderful Christmas gifts. And I love the name of the scents. Is that the name of the FO's or is it a "home brew"? Would love to know.
  19. Ditto, but mine was less then $30 I believe around $20. And works for weighing FO's, Wax, and items upto 5# for shipping. So I just weigh 5#, & weigh another 5#etc... For shipping $$$. But I wouldn't try (anymore!!!) to make candles without a scale. At first I did, and then found out how much easier & more precise it is to use a scale.
  20. I live in North FL (Panhandle). So if cheaper, I would love to know about his site.
  21. \There isn't anything wrong with trying to sell them "as is", "one of a kind" Maybe lower the price alittle for a "one of a kind" candle just so you can move them, and still make a profit. Maybe have them catogorized(sp?) as Spring, Fall, Fresh Scent etc... Just a thought; hope this helps.
  22. Sorry to hear about the change you have to make. But it is going to be very temporary, I have faith. We can't do without our "kumquat queen".:smiley2:
  23. Well she had try the rest before coming back to the "best".
