  8. pixxidusted, M&P does not have to cure, so wrap and put in bags. How long have you been at this? Making M&P & or selling? (not being a smart a**,just asking to help)
  9. I have had the liquid red dye for @ 1 yr. The left over candle I made last yr. smells great! Now this season I have duplicated the red dye, Warm Apple Pie, w/ J-223. Same-O-Same-O-. But the fuel smell is awful. Poured 1#,let it set. stunk, then started from scratched, poured it, stunk, tried again still stunk... Not just me now!!!Tried diff. temps. diff. scents, w/ 3 # of wax + dye + FO But it is the liquid dye I'm sure. Now what?? I have wasted soooo much money.(9 oz. jars inc.) Does the red liquid not last as long as the other colors? Any info or bitching appreciated:undecided
  10. I add SLSa to this recipe, I love it!! 1 c. Dry Milk 1 c. Baking Soda 2 Tbl. Cornstarch 1/2 c. SLSa 10-20 drops FO put in zip lock bag and SHAKE,SHAKE. Put in container of choice & bubble away!!
  11. I also make mini mold melts and soap from a butterfly mold that AshlieK gave me. They are too cute. Love the hearts !

  13. Yea, what she said. LOL Really what was said is very true all the way around. So get some "FO" fragrance oil from any of the suppliers that you ck out on the sites. You will be amazed at the diff. from the fo blocks or oil that a craft store offers.
  14. pilyblu, the instructions are on Bitter Creek North's site. Don't feel bad. Always ask. www.bittercreek.com Be sure to go to north.(Wisconsin) HTH
  15. I must reply that ZINC's & LX's do work for me in J223. Which is the wax I use for containers. As well as a mix of J223 & 1343 for melts.
  16. First, tap the sides of your molds w/ wooden spoon handle, butter knife etc.. to ri the pillars of the bubbles. And when my DH first bought me suplies (after stating for a couple of yrs. that I wanted to make candles). He bought Yaley products for Micheal's. Not the best dyes or scents. Actually you don't want me to start on those. But have found very good products(thru help of this board). I can try to help you finding supplies. Just PM me ,Maybe I can help.
  17. Try sitting them outside. Yes I am a smoker (shame on me...LOL) The best thing I kow to rid the stinch of smoke is... Fresh air & sunshine. Just like sheets off the clothesline. Hope this helps for silicone.
  18. Thank you for the info. If anyone can find something that helps w/ clean up for us "perfect pourers" the need a pat on the back.:highfive: (ok in the case of the smileys, a high 5.
  19. I know the lamp shade holders you were trying. (Adorable as they are )They will not work correctly. As you have since found out. Glad all is going well for you now.

  21. This topic has turned into a soap opera. LOL After seeing Soapinthecity's pictorial & reading to leave out the cocoa powder I have decided to make these today. Before when reading about these the cocoa powder just didn't do it for me. Sounded just like you stated Bunny; a "turd in the tub". I'm too old to go thru that again. LMAO
  22. Thanks to your pictorial I NOW HAVE to try them. I must stay away from all of you!! Thanks this was very nice of you to do.
  23. Scented I'm with you. I love using them, but I keep reading the horror stories about making them. Living in Sunny HUMID FL. I don't think I'm up to failing at something else.
