I'm looking into making candles because most candles that I buy don't have a strong scent. My family and friends love candles also and I'd like to be able to give them as gifts.

  1. Just wanted to share with everyone that I made melts using enchanted lites soy way and 1 oz. pp of the following BCS oils and cold and hot throw was awesome!!!! Apple peel Strawberry margarita (my family's fave) Black cherry Almond cherry I used melts of all these fragrances within 3-4 days and they were great. I think the strawberry margarita is getting better with time. Hope this helps someone out.
  2. What measurments do use use for the toner??? I definitely want to try all of your recipes!!
  3. They are both gorgeous but I'd send the blue one since it is so unique.
  4. OMG those are great!! I think the darker pink button is the winner to make the ribbon stand out and the clear lable with the pink background is best. It doesn't take away from the candle but still looks.what's the word.... professional?? sleek??? Anywho- the pink background is tops. Good luck and I'm interested in buying one inthe near future. You can pm me info if you tell me how to receive the pm.:embarasse I'm a neewbie and get so excited reading everything and looking at everyone's art that I haven't really learned all of the technical stuff to the site. Forgot to mention that I like the rustic best!!
  5. If only us mere mortals could have you talent and creativity! <sigh> Those are beautiful.
  6. Laugh at what?? Those look fab!! You did a great job.
  7. They look great!! I love how vibrant the colors are!!
  8. Tenessee Candle butterscotch brulee. I found out the hard way that 1oz pp is WAY to much. It had me up for hours sick as a dog. Great smell at a smaller ratio but it stil gives me a bit of a headache!
  9. I tried BCS Ocean Dunes with EL soy at 1oz pp and both CT AND HT are great!!!!! Just wanted to share.
  10. I tried some of their samples in paraffin. Here's what I got done so far: Butterscotch brulee: HOLY COW!! I used 1 oz pp and it was a BIG mistake. I had a migraine all night it was soooo strong. Smells great, but Im thinking that 1/2 oz pp would've worked. I made melts with it and don't even have to light them to fragrance the room at the 1 oz pp ratio. It's sold out now though. Midsummer's night : very good dupe. I used 1/2 oz pp and they have both a good CT AND HT. Moonlight Path: Not an exact dupe but they smell pretty anyway. Used 1 oz pp on this one. Apples and Cinnamon: 1/2 oz pp on this one and it smells deliscious. I ordered too many to remember right now but I wasn't impressed with the initial smell on a lot of them so I'll have to lete you guys know after I make some more candles
  11. Beautiful!! From the candles, to the labels to the pics. Great job!!
  12. I agree with Donita. You did a great job on both. I bet they smell yummy!
