  1. FS ~ Went back to read your five wax blends. I may have missed something but do you have each scent in each of the five different blends? Like, is Sunshine in 5 different blends and doing the best in blend #2 or do you only have it in blend #2? It seems that one is doing a good job for you in longevity. So, it makes me wonder if the tart burner is more of a factor than I originally thought. It does seem to factor in here, possibly. The ones I have that heat by tea light seem to have better HT than the ones that I plug in. I had begun to wonder if my BH&G electric tart warmers were doing something to the tarts. It seems lately the melts are not lasting as long as they did. I am using up ones that were made some time back, which could also be a factor. Will be interesting to see how this goes along in your tests. I don't have tart wax here at the moment or would have a notion to fire up the same FO in each of 4 blends twice. One to melt in the BH&G warmer and one in tea light warmers. The two BH&G warmers that I use the most have the light bulb very close to the tray where the melt sits. It could be burning off FO....or not.
  2. I'd looked at that about a year ago, yet for some reason didn't buy it. Wonder if I was ill? lol Something tella me Lyschell may have a sudden rise in sales of that wax
  3. Good news! TY By straight paraffin, are you using one that has zero additives? Or are you referring to a paraffin that is just paraffin with no soy. I was off the forum most of yesterday and feel like I'm in the twilight zone. Only 2 cups of caffeine so far this morning isn't helping either. Off for a 3rd.
  4. Yep, but its nice Flicker stops in here to address the issues so many on this forum (or both forums) are having at BCN. I like the reports getting posted here so I don't have to keep hopping forums to see if BCN is getting their stuff straightened out. Then I'll order again.
  5. FS ~ Do you think this amazing HT/CT is due to adding to vybar? Not that anyone is watching this thread with vybar on stand-by!
  6. It says on the bag or website Don't remember. Am thinking 1/4 to 1/2 tsp pp but don't go by my memory these days.
  7. Am going to dig mine out ETA: We just have to be a little careful since too much vybar can actually bind up the FO to cause a reverse affect. Ask me how I know
  8. :wave:And me! Am just thinking how many more FOs I could add without the darn shipping costs.
  9. Oh boy! I need more caffeine for this one. It is computing backward to me right now.
  10. That's crazy! It only costs me a few dollars more than that to have a slab of wax shipped to me in WI from Peak or CS.
  11. I can't give a fair HT review on it since I used it with the CBL130 at the time it began giving me HT problems. Have not tried it yet in CBL125, 4627 or any of the tart blends.
  12. What I did about it is arriving today Yep, tried Pumkin Coffee.
  13. You got charged big $$$ for blue plastic cobalt bottles? So much for free, huh! Not to mention, they weigh next to nothing. ETA: Just saw it said containers not bottles. Guess containers may weigh more than bottles. But that much?
  14. Really? I was just enabled last week.
  15. What I do is use tacky micro wax to hold the tealight cup or votive cup in place and just pour the wax. It doesn't seep under the glass. If you want to remove the holder after pouring, just put the tacky wax on the rim and slightly outside of itl If you want it embedded forever to just drop a new tea light or votive in, then put the tacky wax on the sides as well. So far, I haven't had one that I could remove if I wanted to when I do the sides as well. What I also had to do is have DH cut a round piece of cork to put in the bottom of the tea light/votive holder, and tacked it down with tacky craft glue. It raised it just enough to keep the flame visible throughout the entire burn of the tea light/votive. Hope that made sense.
  16. I"m not selling yet and am unsure which I'll market. What I did for home/family use is make both. I won't use the plastic ones for tea lights that have a semi enclosed lower portion but will use them for the type that has an open area for the tea light to sit in. Just seemed to me the semi enclosed area caused them to get too hot. While I didn't have any burn or melt, it was a concern...for me. CS does have some that are UL approved flame retardant: http://www.candlescience.com/containers/clear-plastic-tealight-cups/
  17. I was very new to CP and didn't do it for very long so can't advise about using it for the lye water. I really wanted to make some with more milk but was afraid I'd scorch them so I just discounted the water, used the discounted water amount for the lye and added the rest of the liquid in milk at trace. Maybe someone who has used milk in lye will chime in. Have fun
  18. I made mine by putting the old fashioned oats in a covered bowl with water overnight. I added the measured (water discounted) milk after SBing a little bit, and the oats after FO and color stirring in with a spoon at about medium trace. I soaped at RT.
  19. OK... That is potentially traumatizing. Get an order in quickly
