  1. And.... to top this off, because of my insane sleepiness, I am pretty sure that I got two cd10's mixed in and got them put in two of the candles that were supposed to have cd5's!!!! I had two bigger jars next to the ones I was making that I had to wick also, and i think i grabbed those wicks and stuck them in the little jars! UGGGH! MAN I guess i shouldnt be making candles when im this tired. What the heck???
  2. I dont post alot in here, BUT, I am up at this rediculous hour because I was pouring candles for a baby shower and, I do not put the wicks in until they start to set up a little then I put the wicks in. Well, I waited a little too long because I got side tracked and there were SO MANY i poured that I couldnt get the wicks in fast enough! Some of them set up too much, so they are in the oven on a low temp warming back up so I can re wick them. I hate doing that because I dont want to burn any of the scent off...GRR! I just was SO frustrated, because these wicks i just got were all bent up for some reason and werent nice and stiff so it was even harder to get them in there and to stay properly centered which took even longer. I know, I could use wick stickems.... I just usually dont have this problem, but I just waited too long this time... BLAH! So anyway, thought I would vent. Haha. :undecided

  10. I found it at just scent, just wondering if anyone else knew of any other suppliers that dont cost $20 a bottle. Ty!
  11. Hi Stella, its been at least three years that Ive been using it. I was wondering about wicks. I just bought a whole bunch of them from a different supplier, but they are the exact same type and size wicks. CD's.
  12. Thanks Lorelei, i will still call them and see what they have to say.
  13. That does make sense. We started using wick pins in our silicone molds now and when they set up there r some dips and cave in areas around the pins. So maybe we do need to poke relief holes when repouring. Wouldnt hurt anyway. Thanks for the input.
  14. Hi. Yeah its packaged same and looks same. I will call Monday, but I already dumped half the case in my melter. Have craft show on december 10th. Frustrating!!
  15. Hello! Havent been around here for a while, but thought id pop in with a quick question please. I use Ecosoya PB from gateway foods in dupo, il. We have tested our candles and determined which wicks were working well. As of now, I just bought a new case of this wax and the wax is acting wierd. Every candle ive made other than the votives are not burning right with our usual wicks. The votives r fine but they are burned in containers. The pillars, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, those types of candles are burning VERY fast like a hole down the middle right away and then develope some sort of small crack in the side and leak wax out all over. Even tho they are not burning too close to the sides..they still leak out one side and burn real fast down the middle. I have seen other people on here mention that with soy especially...that sometimes there can be a bad batch. Do any of you think thats what happened? I cant figure it out. Any input appreciated! Thanks!
  16. Hello. everyone. Been a while since i posted. I made some pillars with ecosoya pb, and believe I found a good wick size for these. They are 3 inch round and square pillars. 1 oz pp fo. I used a cd20 wick for the square, and cd18 for the round. They are burning very well, very good scent throw. However, I was just curious if most people that make pillars with this wax have trouble with being able to "hug" the candles. When I try to bend the edges in, they crack and dont look very pretty after that. They burn well however there would be a thin shell left as they burn down all the way. I do not have bigger wicks so have not tried bigger yet, however I think the square would have blowouts with a bigger one. They just cant be hugged or bended inward when warm like a paraffin candle. What is everyone elses experience? And is there anything that can be done to help this? Thanks! Laura
  17. I know this is not a new thread however, could someone please tell me, when using a wick pin in a silicond mold, do u poke a hole in the bottom of the silicone mold (which is the top of the candle) and slide the wick pin through the hole? will it leak? thanks!
  18. Well it does depends alot on the scent used. Some lasted alot longer than other ones. That is only my experience.
  19. Hi! No i never decorated them. Mine were already like an ivory color and cute just the way they were!
  20. Yeah i cant get the puffiness or leatheriness to go away either. Hope this stuff helps given some time!!!
  21. Hi! What ive done when i make these is to pour some FO into a dixie cup and then paint it on. Then I just pinch the side of the cup and pour the oil back into the bottle so I dont waste any thats left. It works for me. I havent tried glitter so im not sure how to answer that. How long mine last (and i use quality oils) has honestly depended on the strength of the FO used. Some are stronger than others obviously so for example i used sunwashed linen from Candle Science and it lasted well over 2 weeks. Maybe even close to a mth you could still somewhat smell it. However, vanilla, i only smelled for maybe a week. So it varies. Also tho there were times i didnt smell it and others did. As far as drying, i just let them dry overnight and then packaged them. Im sure u dont have to wait that long, but thats just what i did. Mine turn out great! =)
  22. Ok everyone I bought some Eucerin. It says calming itch relief treatment. I put it on my ankles and they are stinging and tingling. Ill keep trying it but I want to dig at them with my nails!!!!! UGH!!! It says it has menthol and oatmeal. Anyway, im trying lol. Local......i did see when i bought this that they have eucerin for the face.......maybe try that on your lids?? Im not sure but if ur careful not to get it in your eyes maybe it might help? Im hoping this Eucerin helps, cause it wasnt cheap, and it just stings right now.
  23. I never thought about an allergy to the socks. I do wear the ankle length that prob has latex in the top part of it. Ill try the rosehip oil and eucerin and see how that goes. I may try the tamanu also. =)
  24. Thank you everyone for your help! Im going to try Eucerin cream and maybe the rose hip oil first. Will see if that works!
  25. Wow, thats a thought lol Rub myself up with fat lol Hey if it works ill use it! :smiley2:
