  1. SuzyK- you certainly are welcome to use any of those names that you want. I love to share if I can. Hope you have lots of customers with it! :-)

Maggie- that is a good point u make. I may need to just keep the name as is. Also your customer stories are very funny. People are crazy sometimes! It's like "Who's the excerpt here? Not you!". But I would never say that out loud though. I just smile and nod :-)

  2. Yes, you can call them whatever you want to call them, but if you're going to be taken seriously, you'll know that a "signature" scent is static, whereas a "featured" scent is variable. It's a matter of semantics and is very important in retail.

That's why I called them my signature scents because they will never change them unless the suppliers I use stop making them. Anyway just wanted to know if other people had smelled the scent. I do love it and my customers love it. It was just a thought I had and wanted to share it and have you guys share back. No biggie. Thanks y'all! :-)

  3. What the heck is a signature December candle? If you like it, why do you need an opinion if it's already your signature scent?

Talking about Christmas in May makes me ill.

I do like it ROF. I only have 12 scents. One for each month of the year. I didn't realize I was offending anyone. Just wanted to know if anyone had smelled this scent and what they thought. That's all.

  4. Not sure if you are looking for a Christmas name for the NG Country Bumpkin scent, but it smells very similar to Dickens Christmas from Alabaster. I actually call the Dickens Christmas scent Country Bumpkin year round and then rename it Dickens Christmas around the holidays. HTH.

Thanks Megan for the input but I think I'm really looking for another name for apple jack and peel. I don't know why I wrote all that other stuff. I just ramble. Like right now. Lol!

  5. I find paprika stays grainy when added to soap but it does make an orangey color. Good if you want to swirl with it though. I also love to use Tumeric as it is a great dark yellowy color. I add it to my sandalwood patchouli soap to make it look earthy. I also use cocoa powder occasionally for brown.

Hi! Unearthing another lost thread from years ago.

My question to this quote is I heard that paprika and turmeric can make your soap smell bad. Is that true? Does anyone have any first hand knowledge?

  6. Thanks guys! I really like those names! I had already saw somewhere that another person named her sugar plum scent "sugar Plum Fairy". I am for sure using that name. :-) For autumn pear I had the idea to call it "Partridge in a Pear Tree". What do you think of that?

As for Apple Jack & Peel maybe I use the "Jack" part as a play on words because my candles are called Jack Be Nimble.

  7. I am going to do two limited addition scents for Xmas called autumn pear and sugar plum. (going to change the names though) as well as my usual Holiday Frost from CW and country bumpkin from NG. I really want a limited addition Fall scent like orange clove or apple jack and peel but don't like those names. Anyone have any unique names that could tell a story in 4 words or less. Ex- summer herb garden. It makes me automatically go to that memory.

Also I have a couple of fall citrus type scents already in my main yearly line-up so should I focus on a bakery scent instead. Would love all opinions. Good or what have you. Thanks! :-)

  8. I'm by no means an expert but I will say that I have read that a lid does help keep the candle scent in but it will not help with the HT or CT. You don't have to have a lid but if you do the candle can virtual never lose it's scent because it can't escape. If I'm wrong please correct me but I think most of that is partially true. HTH and good luck with your candles!

  9. Oh dear! Just look at our entire scent list =) Got to agree with everyone's choices so far as well but that Country Bumpkin is a great one! Been thinking of renaming it and now have an idea LOL J/K =) I promise not to steal it Jack =)

Your welcome to if you want to Ecco. I don't mind. I know someone will find this thread one day and use the name. But yes I do love Country Bumpkin. It throws great in soy too!

  10. I have tried searching everywhere on here and the internet for this specific question. So can a batch of M&P that you have scented, poured, molded, and cut ever go bad? Does it have an expiration date? I have a few batches that are about 6 months old. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance!:-)

  11. Thank you very kindly Jack =) Got that page up, listed each scent we offer WITH description AND revamped our shipping rates from outrageous to a flat rate $5.95 for ALL orders now! Well except over $100, they get FREE shipping =) Let's just say we didn't get much rest last night =)

Hey Ecco, how are you doing shipping that cheap? I would love to be able to do that for my customers but as of now I am using USPS flat rate medium and large boxes. The medium box is $10.50. Would love for you to share if you can.
