Does anyone else sell at this site? You pay $5 a month or $50 a year and can list and sell with no fees. Sounds like a great way to get your products out there if your just starting out. What are your thoughts on this? Advice? TIA!

Thank you BlissStreet! I won't. Hehe :-)
-
Thanks guys! I knew that was the answer but I just had to ask.
-
Ok I think I know the answer to this but I am going to ask anyway. I have my main scents that i sell down and I know that they perform as they should. What I want to know is if I'm buying FO from (let's say Candle Science that is known to test in soy and has truthful ratings on their site as far as I know) do I still need to go through a testing phase for a new FO that has proven to work in soy?
I'm small and just starting out and would like to offer some special one time scents but I don't think I have the cash flow to go through testing again and again.
I know I'm about to get killed here and I think the answer is NO but I still wanted to ask. TIA! Don't hit me to hard please.

Where do you purchase C-3 from? BCN does not carry it.
Lonestar and Candle Science carry it as well as others but they are closest to me.

You might be able to make that out of polymer clay from Michaels.

Pretty convincing! & those ear candles are used by my extremely picky herbalist, who thinks Splenda is almost as deadly as Anti-Freeze.
Mmmmm Splenda. Makes me skinny!
-
Have you checked rustic essentials?

Could some of the more experienced/seasoned candle makers here give my pictures a look and tell me what they think? TIA! :-)
-
No she didn't!!
Ok guys I don't want to get into a debate about natural/ paraffin waxes. I want to know if anyone here actually make a true "all natural" candle. So far it looks like the answer is no. I have though enjoyed the previous comments so thanks for responding. :-)

You may need to double wick.

I found this description at Fragrance Oil Finder from the supplier Pine Meadows.
It says: Woodberry- "You'll love this refreshing, great outdoors scent reminiscent of a berry breeze in a lush hardwood forest."
Does that describe what you have?

I have read a lot of threads about soy candles not being natural because of the process that it takes to get it to wax form. I am just wondering if anyone on the board actually makes a true All Natural candle? Soy or what have you. Thanks for responding!

Yes that is what I used. Thinking my next try will be C-3
C-3 is a good wax. You should have some good results from it. I'd let it cure a week at least before testing.

I just wish Paula Dean and Martha Stewart would get out of the candle biz and free up some local market space. lol
Steve
Lol! So crazy you mentioned that! I just saw Paula Deans cheap ass candles at Michaels the other day. I'm sure someone else makes them and she just slapped her fake airbrushed face on the front!!

This weekend at the open house for NG I smelled Tomato Leaf Corriander, and it was really unusual but kind of wonderful. It really smelled exactly like the tomato leaf.
Ooooo! Sounds interesting! I mix an original scent that I use for the Fall using tomato leaf. I'll have to get a sample of that.

Bummer!
Just test burned my EcoSoya, not good.
Great CT but no HT! Left it cure for 1 week.
8 oz mason jar. What to do?
If you let it cure for 2-3 weeks it may get better. But I'm personally not a fan of Eco-Soya Adv. Not sure if that's what you are using.

I use 3dcart and I'm able to shipping by quantity. I also do not have 900 items so it's alot easier to judge this. I know that 5-6 of my candles fit in a medium size flat rate box and then if they order more it goes to a large flat rate box. That's how I do shipping. Wish I could ship for $5 like some others but I can't. Maybe one day I can. :-)

Dang, I just had an order come in from Lonestar, I should have gotten a sample of that FO. At what temp did you add the FO? I light the dark photo, very nice.
Oh I forgot that part. I added my FO at 160 degrees. Stirred for 2 min. And poured at 110 degrees.

Lol! Maybe it's the idea of what we want them to smell like. IDK! Btw do you like Sea Kelp from AH? How does it smell?

Hey everyone! Let's play a game taking 4 FO or EO and tell a story. It can be any combination you want from spring to Christmas Scents. Think of more about a collection of scents that tell a story or invoke a memory of a certain special time during the year. I'll start
Ocean Waters
Summer Herb Garden
Strawberry Rhubarb Pie
Watermelon
That's what memories I have when I think about summers as a kid.
