  1. You realise this thread is 2 yrs old.:rolleyes2

Fragrances are very seasonal around here. I am selling lots of florals and fruits right now. I have one retail account that wants only bakery. Another that wants incense, spa, and woodsy types, while another wants wine scents. Its a total crapshoot.

Once fall comes its back to cranberry, apples, cinnamon, spice, etc.

I know it is Candybee. I just saw it and thought it was a good thread and wanted to add to it. Thanks for responding! :-)

  2. Maybe this question should be in a separate thread but are there other FO suppliers that have unique scents like MoonWorks? As much as biscotti and sugar cookie sell I get tired of always seeing those type of scents. I really gravitate towards the unusual even if I don't sell them I'd still like to make them and burn them myself. Hope some of you know of another type place similar to MoonWorks. TIA! :-)

  3. I use both of these supplies on a regular basis. I just ordered wax from Lonestar and had it within 2 days.

It sounds like your computer may be having some issues....

Did you try calling Lonestar or Peak? I am certain that had they been notified of the issue they would have been more than happy to assist you.

I second that! I just called LS the other day to say I was missing 2 jars out of my order and Veronica shipped them out the same day.

  4. I like the Newspring Ellipso brand better. To me, they seem to be a more sturdy construction and the lids fit tighter. I use the 1 ounce size since they will fit in the smaller warmer bowls. The 2 ounce size would be great for the 2-in-1 warmers you get from Candlemakers or OBI.

Keep a look out in the Co-Op section. The portion cups seem to be a popular item for that. Webstaurant has a great price but shipping is pretty high. With the co-op you don't have to buy a full case and the shipping costs are shared.

Jack, I know you're in Georgia so take a wander through Garden Ridge. In the party/catering section they carry bags of 25 or 50 of the round Dart cups. I think they are the 2 ounce. They are more expensive per each than online, but it would give you a chance to work with them before ordering a large amount. I believe Costco has them too. If you would like to compare to the oval Ellipso, I can send you some of those as well. I'm in the area so postage should be minimal. Just PM if interested.

Thanks PMM! You are so sweet to offer. I will think about it and let you know. I will definitely checking Garden Ridge and see what they have. Right now I have several breakaway melts that I need to sell so they will have to go first. :-)

  5. Those all sound really good. Thanks!

Still wanting to find a mountain wildflower type scent. Hoping someone may have an idea.

NG has a FO called organic wildflower. It just took a sec to look up. You should go to there website. They have a search bar there. HTH. :-)

  6. I saw this in another thread and someone suggested using 2 parts pumpkin and 1 part lavender. I did this with q-tips in a baggie as a test. Used CS scents. Kinda nice. Different. Maybe better in wax.

  7. I just saw this lady on YouTube making pumpkin lavender cp soap. She said she just mixed the two together. Has anyone tried this combo before? I thought it sounded really interesting and I may try it out soon. I have a sample FO of pumpkin pie spice and lavender from CS. Or should I try to use a fresh pumpkin scent and not a pumpkin pie scent? Anyway give me your thoughts if you think it will be a good combo or bad or if you have made this scent combo before.

  8. Have you tried Ecosoya Xcel? I don't see many people talking about this one on this board. I'm using it in a blend for my wax melts and I really like it. Great scent throw so far and just a tiny tiny hint of frosting. I'm not using wicks though, so that may make a big difference.

I've used excel before and it does have a good HT and CT but I think 464 has a lot better. I just pour at a low temp and I get decent tops. I think some people believe it is real soy that way or even expect that. Just from my experience and comments.
