  1. No. Not yet. I'm using .75oz for 10oz of wax. I'd hate to go lower but maye using 1/2oz instead may work
  2. Yes, at times it can be but I'm still addicted so its okay. I guess these FO are heavier FO on their own so that may be the issue. Such a shame. It is an awesome scent combo. At least I can still use it in tarts
  3. But these individual FO by themselves do amazing! It's when I try and blend them that they don't work.
  4. I have a blend that I have been trying to test since last year. It's a balsam, vanilla, cinnamon blend. All equal parts. I found it here in one of the threads. I finally decided to use FO that I knew did well on their own and I had tested before. But together I cannot get a strong HT to save my life. I just don't understand it. I'm using 464 wax as some of you know. I may need to go up in wick size but I don't think so. If there is any advice I would greatly appreciate it. I love this blend and It works great in tarts but not so great in candles.
  5. I am posting this from another board because I find it very interesting and also because I said I would ask my fellow handmade candle and soap friends. Love to hear what your opinions are. So my friend thinks that some (not all) people in wax groups and other groups on Facebook are actually secret reps for bigger companies that market their stuff as if it is handmade/small business as a marketing strategy. I told him he is being paranoid and he insists that this is a real thing companies are doing now and that I am being naive. I explained that some people are reps for companies like Avon or Scentsy but that it is no secret but he still insists and says I can't know for sure that I am buying handmade/independent. Have any of you heard of something like this happening?!
  6. I am always on the search for affordable non-bleeding colors for MP soap. What do you guys think about these at WSP? Has anyone used them? I posted the link below if anyone wants to check them out. http://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/StoreCategory.aspx?CatalogID=1&GroupID=868&CategoryID=2426&CategoryName=All+Soap+Color+Bars
  7. Is there Zuchinni Bread spicy or creamy?
  8. Looking for reviews for this FO. I've read a couple of threads and it was mentioned a few times. Thanks for your thoughts! :-)
  9. I heat my soy wax to around 200. Never had that issue before. I would also trust CS instructions if I was making my first tarts or candles. HTH :-)
  10. Hi Candybee- Yes she is discontinuing this scent. In fact I think it's already sold out. I thought I should get some since I already have tested it and it is a nice Z bread scent. Also would be a good mixer. These are some very good names. I like the Corn Bread name the best. It made me think of Sweet Southern Cornbread. I thought I might use that as a name. Thx for the inspiration! :-)
  11. Hi- trying to think of another name for Sweet Indian Corn from MW. It smells like Zuchinni bread but I don't want to call it "Zuchinni Bread" if I don't have too. Also I have another Zuchinni Bread I use right now. Lol! Thanks for any suggestions you have. :-)
  12. 464 is very soft. I doubt it would work well. Your over pour may melt your chunks. I've never tried it but I do work with this wax. You might try and mix a soy pillar wax with 464 for your chunks. That may work. HTH. :-)
  13. Hi Belinda- I use MW SCR and also have a sample of CW SVS and they smell nothing alike to my nose. Of course everyone is different. You are going to LOVE SCR when you smell it!!
  14. I just purchased a pound at the sale price. Would you mind sharing what you renamed this scent. Even PM me if you don't want to post it here. Thanks I'm just awful with name.
  15. I use MW Sugar Cookie too! It's the best IMO that I've ever tried. Has a strong HT in my soy. I don't think I'd switch to any other.
  16. Avery has some really great labels you can find at office supply stores. They are made with small businesses in mind. Then you can go to their website and use their label editor to make your labels. They have premade label templetes or you can design your own. I use it for some of my products. HTH! :-)
  17. Ditto on CS Lavender! I use it in soy and MP and is the best! Smells almost identical to the Bulgarian Lavender EO.
  18. Fresh Outdoors- NG Winter Woods- CW Meadow- CS
  19. Well some like strawberry bread and icecream scoop bread are a FO from just scent. So they are already premixed.
  20. I have put it in wax but have not melted it yet. In wax it smells fruity and somewhat like fruit loops but I feel there's a creaminess that's missing.
  21. I love the spiced orange!! No fuel smell & super strong HT
  22. I think this might be the case as well. Thanks everyone for your input! :-)
  23. Thanks everyone. This has really helped out alot! :-)
