I'm friends with Stacy on Facebook and only live about 10 miles from Daystar. I usually message her on there and get a quick response. I have mentioned to her on a couple of occasions that some are having a hard time getting ahold of her so if you don't get a response just let me know and I'll send her a message.

@Belinda Hey! Do you know what's happening with Day Star? The website is suspended and I purchase the Black Tea FO from there. If she is still able to sell me that FO I would love to get in contact.

  2. Hello! I haven’t been here in ages but I’m on a quest to find a premade FO or the components to blend it myself. I’ve always wanted to make an old fashioned cocktail candle scent. It’s really difficult to find the other components other than the bourbon part. If you’ve had success and could just lead me to the right supplier I would be greatly appreciative. Thank you! - Jack

Hi. I’m Sue Buchta and I’m the CEO of IndiMade Brands, a company made up of a group of sponsors – including some of the founders of our family of brands – that owns Nature’s Garden, The Flaming Candle, Wholesale Supplies Plus and WSP’s own family of brands.  It’s nice to meet you.

I joined IndiMade as it was formed 7 months ago, and all these amazing brands have been part of the IndiMade family since before then.  IndiMade was formed to provide new leadership, strategy and investment for our companies, all three of which are still operated at independent locations in Wellington, Ohio; Independence, Ohio and Hiram, Georgia.  Each business maintains its own identity, brand promise and team of dedicated humans that love our industry and customers.

I wanted to take this opportunity to clear up some misconceptions that we have seen on social media.

    1. Each of the founders and past owners of the businesses now in the IndiMade family chose, for various personal reasons, to place their company in hands that would continue to support the industry and serve their customers for years to come.  They felt this was a good way to see their company grow and thrive.  There were no hostile takeovers and no forced sales.  I personally have met and have an ongoing relationship with several of them and I know how lucky I am to have that.

    2. I understand that over the last few years past ownership may not have done everything well or right. Perhaps you think they got a lot wrong. IndiMade and all our employees are working very hard to improve the business and invest to provide a better experience for our customers – no matter which brand is your go-to.  We just launched a new website for Nature’s Garden that, when completely transitioned from the old one, will provide a faster, better shopping experience and we’re so excited for new features and benefits coming your way soon.  IndiMade will continue to invest to provide better service, offer more products and do all we can to help your business grow.  Your success is our success, and we’ll continue to be dedicated to helping you achieve your dreams

    3. Like most companies we’ve experienced rising costs in our business this year. In some cases, we have had to adjust prices to keep offering the quality products you’ve grown to love. I can assure you that any price increases reflected recently are necessary to keeping our brands healthy, we are evaluating pricing across all brands, and we are always looking for ways to offset inflation within our business instead of passing it on to our customers.  The fact is, we’ve recently decreased prices on some products.

    4. With few exceptions, the same wonderful humans you have worked with over the years are still with IndiMade (yes, Melissa at Nature’s Garden!).  While we’ve brought some new talented faces to the company, please know that we have amazing employees who are passionate about the industry and our customers.  They are moms and dads, brothers and sisters, partners and siblings and wonderful human beings – just like you.

    5. Sometimes, when it rains it pours, and we’re no exception.  In these past weeks, we’ve had a power outage that impacted shipping at Nature’s Garden, a major transportation issue at The Flaming Candle and other unexpected challenges with new systems that impacted processing times and shipping costs.  We are working diligently to fix these issues.  It may seem like a lot of coincidence, but it was a series of unfortunate issues hitting us all at once.

I know you have a choice – lots of choices in fact – when it comes to who you do business with.  We sincerely want that to be us and will work to continue to earn your business and trust.  I hope you stick with us as we make improvements.  It won’t happen overnight but I promise we are working on making it better every single day.

We are also committed to keeping the unique and wonderful personality and promise that each of our brands offer the same – if not better – and continue to bring you great product and great service from those brands.

I would love to hear from you if you have feedback or ideas.  Please email me directly at feedback@indimadebrands.com.  I will personally read the emails and appreciate honesty and candor, though I ask you to be constructive and kind no matter how hard the feedback may be.

Our industry is poised for great things in the future, and as we work hard on our own journey we look forward to being a part of yours!

They just bought Elements too! Wonder when they’ll purchase Candle Science LOL

  4. Hello, does anyone know if Candles science fragrance oils have propylene glycol in their fragrances?

I had a customer call to say she was allergic to this and I can’t seem to find any reference to it on their website and of course a customer calls when most businesses are closed for the holiday weekend. Thank you for any info.

So sad that we won't be seeing anymore posts or pretty wax melts and candles from Trappeur. It's still hard to believe she's gone. 😥

WHAT ?!?! What happened to Trappeur? I haven’t been on here in awhile?

    Hey Paul!

Long time no hear.....hope your doing well with your fabulous candles you make.   Have a lot of shows going on?

    Thankyou for your kind comment!

I know I’ve been super busy. We are in production mode for the fall and holiday season atm. I’ve got to make 5,000 candles by September. Definitely my biggest yet!

No shows for the summer. I’m just concentrating on production and any wholesale orders.

Super excied for my new candle scents and getting all our labels ordered.

I’ll post some pics of all the new stuff after our photo shoot in August.

Good of luck with your presentation 🍀 I know these amber jars will be a hit!!

I have this issue with Campfire by FC. Love the scent so I just keep trying. I have cut back on FO load, wicked up and have tried a multitude of different wick types. I should just give it up but it's a puzzle at this point. I usually use FC's para-soy but threw it in a coconut blend last night to see if it made a difference.

I needed up calling Filmore and asking about it. I did lighten my FO% and still have drowning wicks.

Decided I need to move on to another FO. Fall is coming fast and I need to lock down my lineup.

Really wishing FO companies would put out their new Fall/ Holiday FO in the summer so I could actually test them. I know most of the companies out there cater to the hobbiest.

For double wicking in a similar sized container , I started with two eco2 with normal fragrances, or two eco4 with harder to burn.

do you have a smaller container to do a quick test to see if the eco will do the job before jumping to the double?

For comparison, In single wicked 8oz tins with a c3&415 & 4630 blend 40%:40%:20% last year when the cd16 fizzled itself out, the eco12 was perfect. Normal wick in that blend was cd12.

    does this starting point help?

This is great help! Thank you! I don’t have a smaller container that I can test. I will try the eco 2 and eco 4 to start. My system I use is double wicking for my jar type.

Thank you again! I learned something new today!

  9. Hello all!

I’ve been testing Filmore’s Pa’s Tobacco Pipe FO in 464 soy wax for what seems like forever.

It’s a super heavy FO and you need to wick up. Little did I know how much!

I started out at a double wicked CD6 and have tested all the way up to a double CD14.

I’ve never had to go this high for a FO. The most is a CD8.

So so my question is if the CD14 double wick is working and the flames are not too high and the jar isn’t too hot. Is this acceptable to sell?

Had anyone else ever run into this issue with a FO?

Is there an alternative wick that might be better suited to this FO because of the heaviness of it?

Thank you for any any help or advice you can give 🙏🏻🤗

@Jackbenimble, so elegant! Love your set up! Tell me, do you have a problem with your candles melting in the heat? It is a concern with me, it's sometimes up to 107 degrees here.

@Hopie- Thank you so much!!🤗🙏🏻 I don’t do outdoor shows past Mother’s Day because of the increasing heat. The most heat I’m in is upper 80’s and I ask for shade so my candles are fine.

Aztec has a strong Magnolia oil. I use paraffin wax .I am sure it would do just fine in soy as well. I also blend this one with lemon. The lemon tones down the Magnolia & the combo smells very unique .Aztec has their 5 for 5 coupon each month ,you may want to sample this one before purchasing a large size, super strong scent .

Thank you! I’ll check that out🙏🏻🤗

@jack be nimble Have you tried cutting back on your fragrance load any to see if that helps? I'm not sure what fragrance load you are currently using but if you are maxing out the fragrance, cutting back some on it could be beneficial for your wicks.

Thank you, I will try that.

Paul, if I remember, don't you use like 2 cd 6's in country comfort jars?

    Trappeur

Yes, that is correct. Some FO I use CD7’s so I’m am shocked I’ve had to go all the way to a CD10.

Sounds like what happens with my sweet Amber. I have to switch to eco to make it burn.

@TallTayl Do you know the comparable CD6 wick in ECO?

Sounds like Crackling Firewood from WSP....I put this jar to the side probably close to 2 years ago because of this.   Think I will make up another couple candles in this oil as I love this and try again...

Well if that is what it takes to wick then I guess you gotta go and do it and wick up....lol

    Trappeur

@Trappeur If trying an ECO doesn’t work I may just have to wick up🤦🏼‍♂😩

  14. Hi y’all!! I am in need of some help. I am currently testing Pa’s Tobacco Pipe from Filmore. It’s sooooo amazing and complex! I love it. The problem is I cannot wick this FO to save my life. I use 2 wicks in my system and have gone all the way to a CD10! On the 2nd burn the wicks drown out.

I need help either finding another FO to blend that will cut the density but will be complementary or another wick size.

Can i I go up to a CD12 and be fine?

What have any any of you guys done in this situation?
