  1. I was using Eco 14 but found them to smoke too much.I will try the 1312 and see how that does. Thanks again all for your reply's,
  2. Id say on some I get 1/4 inch from the glass and others slightly more.It will catch up about and get a full pool 3rd or 4th burn.
  3. I am using Cargill c3 and I cant seem to get a burn pool on the first or sometimes second burn.Is catch up ok?I am using 3'' diameter jars from Fancy Candle Jars and lx 28 and htp 1212 cant get a burn pool.Im also not using any color.ANY HELP Im frustrated....
  4. I am using Eco # 14 #12 #10 #8 as well. It's only happening when Im using the #14 but the #12 doesn't get the pool Im looking for.Going to try LX I think.
  5. Me too please.Id like to check it out. jumpinjoes@comcast.net
  6. Thanks GR! Your answer is very comforting.I was really beginning to think I was doing this ALL wrong.
  7. The wet spots for me are on everyone, and yes half the jar.I heat my jars under 2 heat lamps while Im melting,I can get the table surface temp to about 96 degrees and inside the candle jar is about 88 degrees.I dont think there is a way to resist the wet spots..I never get frosting! My room temp is kept around 73-75 degrees.
  8. Hey Top, You said C-3 was not 100% soy,Do you know what they add to make it not?And also I have never had FO bleeding in my C-3 wax,I have tried Eco-ad and 135 and with my experience C-3 was the better of the bunch.Just my 2 cents.
  9. I have been using Cargill's Nature Wax C-3,when the wick flickers I can see small amounts of black smoke. Is this normal?I dont see smoke while it's a steady flame, only when it flickers.I however don't have black marks on the jar.Sort of confused....:undecided
  10. I would also appreciate a copy of that list. jumpinjoes@comcast.net
  11. CandleWealth International is a pyramid co. Meaning that they get you to sell candles and then you have to get people to make candles.I talked to them in the past and steered away.Their prices are very high for supplies.I wanted to go out on my own , which is the best way to go if you want to make good profits.
  12. My FO amounts are usually 1oz per pd.Sometimes I add a little more depending on the FO.The smoking still happens either way.The wick does flicker and thats when I see the smoke. The flame height is good not stretching as I like to call it.I do get some black soot around the edges at times to.Im new so should there be any black soot on the glass with soy candles?:undecided
  13. when I go to a smaller wick size(example 3" dia.I use a Eco 14,I went to a 12 and it did the same thing but no burn pool.I always trim down the wick to 1/8 of a inch.
  14. I have been trying out Cargill C-3.I have had some black smoke sometimes after 30 min.I tried different wicks (ECO,LX,CDN) also changing FO several times and at different amounts.ANYBODY have any advice! Help! :embarasse
