Have any of ya'll heard of a scent called "Woodberry" ? YEARS ago we use to buy candles from a local candle company and one of our favorites was called Woodberry? (I believe that's how it was spelled) Anyway, since most of you have been in the candle business a long time have you ever heard of it? If so would you know where we could buy the fo? :)Ravens, can't wait to see how your experiment goes! Heard your tarts were the bomb, ha!ha! so I'll have to try what your doing. All this is so exhausting trying to find a good tart with long lasting ht. It's so competative in our area that to have a chance at selling a decent candle or tart you have to make something that is strong and last long. Won't give up and know together we can all come up with the perfect tart! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Sorry if this is a stupid question but what is CB? I also use 4794 and have problems getting the scent to last more than a few hours. Thanks!

Sharon Kay, I use 1.5 per lb but I'm cutting back on my next batch to 1oz per lb. Like you said it's strong, kind of like Creme Brulee, so I'm going to cut back a little.Shirlee, glad to hear you found a wax easy for you to work with. I'm going to try some Peaks scent. I've heard so many good things about it. Keeps us posted on your test results! Good luck!

Raven, I ordered my wax about the same time as you. I'm having problems too. In fact I went back to the IGI wax from the supplier by my house because I had some orders and wanted to work with the TCS wax more before giving them to my friends. Did not realize it may be a bad batch. I still have the box that's how I store it I'll see if there's something on it. It has the date 10/24/10 and all the normal shipping infomation. If you know what set of numbers I'm looking for I'll let you know. Thanks!!

Hey Ya'll I ordered mine from TSC a few weeks ago when Raven was saying how good it was. I'm having the same problems as Shirlee and went back to the Melting Pot by my house and started using the IGI wax again. Could we have all gotten a bad batch? Did not realize this happened.

:cheesy2:Shirlee I'm glad to see your back but I'm sorry your having problems. I'm STILL having problems getting a quality melt too but it's getting a little better. I've read several comments from people mixing the 415 soy like the lady right after your comments and they love it. I don't know what type of wax they mix it with but I've seen it before. Maybe that's what we need to do. I'm also using the TSC wax. I talked to Loren the owner and I use to put mine in the freezer after they hardened to get out of the mold then put them right into a glass container. He told me not to put them in the freezer! Right after they barely harden but enough to where you can move them and not have them spill, put them right into the refrigerator for 1 to 1/2 hours. Then into the glass jar. He said the fo jells better with the wax at a slower temp than freezing it. Hope that helps! Let me know what you hear in terms of how we can get a good quality tart! I store mine in large glass containers with a metal lid that I bought at the 99c store. They are HUGE and bought the last 10 that were left. If you have a 99c store in your area they are with the small containers we use for candles and also they have apothacary jars. (sorry for the misspell!) Hope that helps!

Hey Raven! Just finished pouring Christmas Splendor from Just Scents and Rocky Mountain Memories from AH/RE. They are AWESOME!!

Virginia, I'm still fairly new to candle making and was using 4794. But could not get my hot throw to last more than a few hours. So I'm trying Candle Source wax. I still have some of the 4794 left over. Would you mind telling me how hot you got your wax and the temperature you add your fo. Also the temperature you poured? Also do you let them cure for over a week? I just hate to waste this wax. Thank you for any help you can give me!
