I am curious money wise what people think is "doing good" at a 1 day 8 hr show. I don't do many so when I do, I subtract my fees for the show, then the cost of materials for the items sold and then cost for my time to make the products. What is left I consider profit. Another candle/bath and body person I spoke to that does lots of shows told me that after taking all those cost away, she was happy making $100 for the 8 hrs and as long as she profited at least that much she would do the show again. I know money is relative and we all have our opinions on what is a good amount but please tell me this is not the norm for those of you that do lots of shows. I have been doing this for 9 years but maybe 1 or 2 shows a year and was thinking about increasing now that I have more time but are profit margins that low out there?

No I wash them/dry them by hand.

My non glossy ones have not torn and I haven't had any problems with the loaf molds which I have used a LOT. I didn't contact them because they already replaced the heart tube one I have that tore on the bottom of two of the cavities. They will probably say it's something I am doing but I know it's not because I haven't had the same problem with the non glossy ones. Bad thing is I was getting ready to purchase several before the tearing began so I am going to have to find a different source/silicone I guess

Do any of you use WSP's crafters choice silicone molds? When they switched to the glossy basic rectangle, I started having problems with the molds tearing after 3 or 4 uses and they aren't cheap. I am careful when taking the soap out but I am not sure this type of silicone is for constant unmolding. For the price though, I dont think they should rip after 3 or 4 uses.

Is there anything you can add to clear melt and pour to harden it while keeping it clear. I use WSP extra clear and although I like the fact I can see my embeds, it is really soft.

I like Ezra from AH too...it's great ....I just wish there was a true Fierce out there

I think they should refund us because that is false advertising. I think they don't change it because they know people are trying to find a true Fierce so they sell more that way. But they need to change the name to Ezra Fitch because that is the dupe it smells like.

JS Fierce isn't Fierce either...it's Ezra Fitch. I think it's false advertising for these companies to market them as fierce whenever all of them are Ezra Fitch (their other cologne). I told Nature's Garden that I was disappointed because theirs also is not Fierce it is Ezra Fitch and their answer was, "Well I am sure you will find that it smells good." ...That's not the point...if I wanted to buy Ezra Fitch, I would buy that but I want Fierce (what you smell when you go into one of their stores). I told them they should change the name to reflect the correct scent..I know RE has theirs labeled properly as Ezra...the others should do the same.

On pappashop it says they charge extra if you don't want shipping based on a charge for each item...so if you want to charge according to total dollar amount, it says they charge extra to make those changes. Does Designer218 offer both shipping options?

Well their recent featured wood creator/items has the wooden scoops we all buy that come from china ...the ones we use for bath salts...I noticed a lot of that

Does anyone know how to make the background of the label a solid color in avery design pro without "drawing" a shape and filling it in?

I can't imagine putting a bar of soap in a kraft envelope with no protection. Do you wrap the soap in anything? Thanks for the info.

For those of you that sell soap on etsy, how are you shipping it if someone buys only one bar of soap. I noticed most sellers have shipping listed at $2 for a bar of soap and yet some of them have them packaged in fancy boxes so I would think bubble envelopes would be out of the question.
