  3. Yep, its Thunder II! And I'm on the outskirts of Denver. Where are you at MtnGirl? For the paint I used... I used the Delta acrylic paints with the delta candle and soap medium. From what I understand it is safe to burn the candle with the medium. So, is there another type of paint that is strictly for use with burning candles? Though, I think I may just leave out the wick to be on the safe side.. call it a wax statue instead... I realllly want to test burn it.. but it was my first one. and I just dont want to ruin it and burn it,LOL So guess I'll do up another one and test burn that one.. pix
  4. They are all sooo pretty and I just love the colors on the wild summer smoothie candles! WTG!!!
  5. My first one.. and I forgot to wipe it off with alcohol first.. so it will prolly peel off ughh! And... I painted the whole thing white first, then the other colors.. but to save that step, next time, I think I can add some white color block to the actual wax.. and see if that goes better. And as though this is a more for looks candle, what are the chances that someone would burn a painted candle.. would you have to worry about it catching fire with the paint and all?? pix
  6. I know its not what you were expecting or wanting, butI love it, the pattern reminds me of a turtle shell. Very very pretty! pix

  12. Use the hair dryer to soften and melt the wax a bit.. then wipe out with a paper towel, gets alot of the wax out, making it easier to wash out. Silicone molds are great too! pix
  13. Pouring pots are generally easier to clean. I got started using coffee cans and a camp type coffee pot though, and it was a bear to clean all the wax out for me anyways, until I learned to melt the wax out in the oven ..lol Though after a bit, my coffee pot, did start to flake... so I'd go ahead with the pouring pot, should only be maybe a few $ more . pix
  14. I agree, it is just hideous... and I have a address so that anyone who has uglies can just them my way! I personally love the look of it, gray or not, and super awesome swirls. pix
