  1. Candlescience for sure! I was never able to move Strawberry Shortcake until I ordered it from candlescience. At my recent fundraiser it was THE best seller.
  2. Back in 2005 I successfully accomplished this by using zinc wicks. I moved on to another wax after I started back though so I may not be able to be of much help but I will try to find those old notes. I think I actually was able to use HTP's with some scents. If I can find those notes I'll post them.
  3. Beautiful soaps! I haven't made soaps in so long and this gives me the fever! Loving the round ones!
  4. I bought those molds a few weeks ago. They are great and I love the skulls! I'm so happy to hear they have christmas ones! Guess I'll be hitting the Dollar Tree today!
  5. I tried clamshells several years ago and they never sold good for me. People do seem to want a variety when they buy tarts. I have also learned that it all depends on the area for me. The craft shows that I've attended in the southern part of my state buy tarts like crazy. The town I live in now and the surrounding towns love candles and usually don't go for the tarts.
  6. For neon candle colors AH has fluorescent color chips in their specials section at the bottom of the page. I don't know how well they do but I had remembered seeing them there.
  7. I'm also a CS Very Vanilla fan!
  8. I was orginally going to just go with White and Ivory but I've found that my customers really like colored bags coordinating with the scents. I've even had people request that I do it.
  9. Before I stopped making candles for a while, I was playing with lye soap and LOVED working with it. It was fun as long as you use good precautions. I know I'll get back into making soap again but it will be a while...*sigh*
  10. Def. have to wick up on this one. I love the scent alot, I tried 3 different pumpkins for this coming fall and this one has won out!
  11. I do Teal...I didn't dig this one as much at first but its been a good seller for me.
  12. I loved Cranberry Marmalade OOB but it turned for me in wax and I can't stand it now. I've made some tarts to see how well they go and it seems to be going decently. I just received Cinnamon Stix in today to I could test it. Guess I'll be busy pouring this weekend.
  13. Seriously, are you always like this now because I didn't remember you being soo.... No worries, I'm always smiles. Thanks for the welcome back.
  14. Actually I'm not a "new" poster, just new under this one because I could not recall my old name since its been two years since I've been here. I gave up making candles for a bit due to illness and took it back up again after said illness. I didn't bash a supplier, I simply said I didn't want to order from that place so no one would suggest it when I asked for it and when you inquired about why, I simply said I didn't want to go into it. Don't be so defensive about why I don't want to order from JS. Most likely I'm going to have to order from JS again. No one did mention my count, which I was thankful of since I see so many posts attacking newbies. But I was informed of the post count before I could access classifieds and that is something I didn't know. So thanks for the help! Scented, your wonderful! Thanks for standing up for me.
  15. Thanks for the info. The board has changed a bit over the last few years....
  16. Nah, prefer not to. Don't want to raise a stink. :tiptoe:
  17. Amish Quilt Green Irish Tweed Snake Bite Apple Butter and Caramel Just to name a few....
  18. Hey guys, I know that I'm just jumping in here for my first post but I've been lurking the forums for a while. I need to find a replacement for JS Spiced Apple Pecan, I've carried it for a while and now all of a sudden its jumping off the shelves for me! However I do not want to order from JS again and since I am officially out of what I had I need to start testing to replace it. Can anyone help???
