  1. I am so envious!!! I want a shop like yours. You have a lovely workshop! How the heck do you make the whipped wax stay like that for so long? LOL Mine gets cool too fast and gets hard. I love the consistency of yours! I have no sound on my computer... so I have NO idea what you were saying, but you are glowing, and beautiful and confident! Awesome job! Well done, and congrats!
  2. I use UV with all of my candles, so I am familiar with that. I would like to try the mottling wax too, but I just thought I would give it a try with normal wax first to see how I do lol Thank you for your help! I will see what I can get here in the city in a smaller quantity first, try it, and then buy in bulk This is what I meant by shiny...
  3. I will be getting my wax from Canwax. I am one of those Northerners hehe.. The wax I was looking at using was IGI 4625. Never done a water bath. I dont need it to be super shiny... I just mean that I dont want it muted or matte like the soy pillars. If the 4625 turns out the same as the container wax I use... I would be totally fine with that I use IGI 4786A for my containers.
  4. What wax would be best for someone who has just started making pillars? I have never made one before. I would like solid colors, and shiny wax. I also would like to try the feather and tortoise palm wax pillars, but that may wait until I have poured a couple of regular wax ones! Any suggestions or help would be very appreciated with this as I am SO excited about making them and I don't want to make any mistakes hehe Thank you guys! *getdown*
  5. This one is Sugar Plum Berries, Yuzu, and Fresh Green Apple. A lady wanted a Marti Gras themed candle party, and so I am making many things for it. This is one
  6. Thank you all for your kind words!! hehe It makes me feel really wonderful and all fuzzy inside that my products are attractive to even those who are most critical!! Candle makers are critical, and I know it... but I love it! Maybe I will post some of the other things I have made!
  7. Thank you for the compliment! I really love the fact that people say that it is super easy and very accessible to order. I had help from a girlfriend of mine in the UK with it and I am super proud of it too! I don't have enough posts yet to view anyone's profile to see sites, but I am sure I will soon! I just found this forum last week and I think it is brilliant!
  8. I am new to the candle making scene, and I really would love to have someone who loves making candles as much as I do to chat with! I am on MSN Messenger lots and really need a Gal Pal to chat with about candles! My hubby is seriously not loving being my Candle Buddy! lol :laugh2:
  9. My life long dream is to have a Candle Shop! I think yours is gorgeous! Well laid out and beautiful displays! I would love to pick your brains on the cost involved, but I am new here and can not get PM's yet. Wish you all the luck in the world for a successful business! xx
  10. That is really stunning! I love the Dazzle Dust! Especially on the pastel color.. it really looks like a snow candle to me!
  11. The gift baskets are gorgeous! Lovely labels!! Your candles look beautiful! Well Done!
  12. I absolutely adore those! How cute! I would love to see those in a gift basket for sure. What temperature do you pour them at though, is there any risk of the cupcake paper catching fire? I would like to try my hand at making some. I will be using Sawdust, and other items along with the pine cone. I am including the wick in mine too. We will see how it goes! Wish me luck! hehe:laugh2:
  13. Those are very pretty colors! Would be lovely for a Bridal Shower!
  14. Thank you! They are so much fun to make! A customer wanted to have a Cocktail themed candle party, and I had a home party with these. They sold like hotcakes!
  15. WOW! Those are absolutely gorgeous!! I am starting pillars soon myself! I just ordered my very first mold! Any tips I should be using? I am very excited! I have tried a few new things lately and I am loving this job more and more every day! Its like playing! hehe
  16. I have been making candles for only a short time, but I am SO loving it!! I started in October of 2008, and I have learned so much in my way of creativeness! I am looking forward to starting some Firestarters for the holiday season to go with my bundles of kindling! I will post the Gift Basket photos on here once my first one is made! This is a WONDERFUL site! Thank you all for all of your tips!
