  1. Those are gorgeous! I did something similar this spring.. I will post a photo. Only difference was I used embeds on the top to reflect the scent type.
  2. The dimentions of the bowl are 5.5" across 3" deep It fits 2 lbs of wax perfect with a little room to spare at the top for embeds
  3. Here is the latest test. I just got my Banana Cream Pie scent in, and wanted to test it ASAP as it smells TO DIE FOR from the bottle!
  4. Ahhhh ok! Well now I know! Thank you so much for clearing that up for me. Now I won't ask such silly questions about that anymore lol Thank you!
  5. Remember... I have only been at this since October of 08. Have patience with me ladies and gents! lol
  6. Oh lol... well I didn't know! I thought it was called Stearic Acid! lol ... Acid would imply that it wasn't good to have lying around the house. Maybe one of you could let me know how to store it, and how it is used. What form does it come in?
  7. See, I use UV Inhibitor in all of my candles. I have never used Stearic... as I didn't want stuff like that around with a child in the house. I guess that is why I try and buy waxes with all additives already added.
  8. I didn't even think you had to use additives to 4625... If I use this on its own... will I have issues?
  9. Oh Oh Oh Vicky!! Help me too! hehe. I am just starting to make pillars, and I bought an Octagon 3 x 6 1/2 mold and I use IGI 4625 ... What should I be using for a wick to make my pillars burn like your photos!!??
  10. Oh those are adorable! Classy, yet fun at the same time. I love those! A wonderful idea to coordinate the wax to the color on the tag too!! Well Done!
  11. Burning as we speak!! It is truly gorgeous smelling! My house smells like a British Columbia Fruit Stand lol
  12. Thanks! It is similar to my candle cake bowls, but I like this one because of the summer feel and the layers. I am debating whether or not to burn this one myself or sell it lol :laugh2:
  13. This candle bowl turned out fantastic! The picture doesn't do it justice at all. The top layer is Pearberry, middle layer is Pineapple Paradise, and bottom layer is Hawaiian Ginger!!! I am so proud of this baby, it is beautiful!
  14. This is a photo I found online, but this shows where I fill mine to. I believe most fill them to this point.
  15. I am having a bit of an issue with my Jack Frost FO that I got from Canwax. It seems that my flame is super low... and sometimes it will go out. I use IGI - 4786A and I use Zinc core wicks. They work well with every other FO I have, but this one seems like it is burning rich for some reason. I also only use 3 tsp pp with this oil as it is super strong. Any ideas on what that may be?
  16. Hmm I guess everyone is different. I fill mine up to the bottom of the straight part. My customers like to see that it is full.
  17. lol sorry about the sexist part... but I really need a gurlie... my hubby just wouldn't think it was the same if I was chatting up another man lol... Not that I will be chatting up the girls rofl ... You know what I mean! haha
  18. LOL yes. I understand completely! My cocktails and cake bowls... same thing! Its like... OK ALREADY... BURN IT! hehehehe
  19. You are very talented! I love that cake! It is so pretty. I bet you hear this a lot though... "It's too pretty to burn" LOL... I tell my customers that they are meant to be burned, and that they can always count on me for another one hehe.
  20. :laugh2:LOL LOL LOL :laugh2: Oh I am sure I will be on that one day!! LOL
  21. Well I know that I love making containers, votives, tealights, and melties... so I am good to go with Pillars then! lol I just love making candles period! It is amazing the feeling you get when someone compliments your hand poured creations!
  22. Do the pillars sell well? I am wanting to scent mine for sure. A few ladies I have chatted to said that they would buy pillars if they could get them custom to the color and scent they wanted. I'm all over that! hehe
