with my wax I have noticed that I get them when I pour to cool using stearic. Once I started pouring hotter I did not get any pin holes. So I thought it was the stearic for me.

I am looking for a jar that looks like the Madison jar but at least 11oz. I see the 10oz at Genwax but dont want it taller, I would like it wider and with a silver lid if possible. Thanks

They used to carry this scent at BCN and they no longer have it in stock. Does anyone know of a comparable scent to this one? I am selling quite a bit if this one and dont want to change to another scent if I can find something close.

I thought I saw a fragrance called "Hope Chest" not sure what it smells like but wouldnt that be like having something closed for a long time. I remember my mothers hope chest that smelled like cedar with other scents in there. The place that has the "Hope Chest" FO is Natures Garden

I have to disagree with this. Our place is in a very high foot traffic area and our rent is about 50% less then other places that are around us. the owner of the building is mega rich and just wanted nice people in the space that were going to take care of it. He owns a winery and also lives on the top floor of the building. Now we just heard that the biggest gift shop in our area is closing and they had the second largest selection of candles besides us. so good news for us. Sean Penn was in our store the other day as well as Gus Van Saint, pretty cool since they were shooting the movie around the corenr. I just need to remember to keep a camera handy but dont know if thye would like that. But some big people did not care that we took pictures of them in our store. So it really depends, our store is doing well. even though I work a full time job the store has been beneficial for us and I havent seen sales decline yet.

The company that I use to purchase incense from will not return phone calls and is getting negative feedback from people on ripoff report. Does anyone know of a really good company that sells incense wholesale and also carries the burners and smoking bottles? I would appreciate it. I know there are quite a few out there but not sure how good they are. Thanks

This happened to me as well. I had a 50 lb bag and it was quite moist. And my bath bombs kept falling apart and "activating". what I did was pout a bunch of salt on a tray and put it in the sun to dry it out a bit. That seemed to help a bit.

Yankee Candles are made by using beads. They have a machine that sprays the wax on a roller and it scraped off in bead form, then the wax is machine pressed in a mold from the bead wax. This was what I saw when the did the "Made in America" on the travel channel. They probably use the same stuff for the scented beads.

I have a full time job, Director at a college and have a store where I do all the production. The store did pretty good this year, being our first year in this spot. Cant complain but people are still learning that we are there. Our wholesale has picked up quite a bit and with the new Sean Penn movie being shot right around the corner more people are coiming around looking to see what was changed around the neighborhood. Tax time is going to be great for us as we expect to get over 15,000 back. So all in all is has been quite good.

I called and asked them about their paint tins and they told me that they dont carry that size but their facility in NJ may and if they do they can add it to their shipment and only pay for shipping from CA. What a deal if they have what I need since I go through so many paint tins

I just came from the SF Gift show and one candle company there had a new candle coming out that when the glass is heated a pattern is revealed. Kinda like the mugs that change the image when it gets hot. He had 7 designs coming out. so off to find out where I can get them.

btw: there is no need to call someone inexperienced just because they have an opinion that differs from yours. To me that is just ignorance on your part. I have made several in Martini glasses for special orders and they love them. NEVER had a problem with any of them. Its just common sense to use glass thick enough you are not going to have a problem. I cant imagine why some people would say a lawsuit waiting to happen, they must be the ones that dont have the experience in testing containers.

I sell a lot of the paint cans and what I do is put them in the oven on the highest temp for about 30 minutes. The shine does go away. I do about 75 at a time

Let It Shine has the formula for the dye chips that were being sold at Pourette. Just look at the old posts and Jim has confirmed it as well.

Why would you need to when there are discussion about who is carrying this now. I know several places that have the exact same colors and are manufactured the same way.
