  1. Spruce Christmas tree is pretty nice from what I remember. Mountain pine was just too piney for me, maybe it would be good mixed with something else. Lisa
  2. I love their Ginger Lime. I have tried several, and theirs is the best. It throws like mad, very clean smelling with no fuel notes. Only supplier I will buy this from. Lisa
  3. Early American Candle Supplies carries them too. I've been meaning to try, but wondering how wicking would be too. They are a pretty glass. Lisa
  4. Can you smell the toasted note in the marshmallow? I'm looking for a good toasted one. What is the Sugared Spruce like? I've been looking for a fresh evergreen type scent that's not over powering on the pine part. They have some new FO's listed that sound pretty tempting. May just have to try them out. Thanks, Lisa
  5. I'm seriously going to have to try these. I'm really curoius about the Tin Star and Fireside Inn. I didn't see the Apple Crumb Cake listed though, and I love a good apple. Just what I needed, more FO's, lol. Thanks, Lisa
  6. Valerie, Try this website http://www.wildfire-creations.com/Candle_supplies2.htm Hope this helps, Lisa
  7. Hi Carol, I have been wanting to try ICS Sugared Spruce. How would you decribe the scent? I have been searching for a good evergreen/pine scent. Either they don't throw well or they just smell piney. I'm looking for something different and fresh. Thanks, Lisa
  8. OOh, there's a few I'm curious about. Autumn moon, Christmas Magic, Comfort & Joy, Homespun Goodness, Peppermint Bark, and Winter Cheer. They all sound delish! Thanks
  9. Hi everyone, I see Just Scent has added some new fragrances. Has anyone tried them? Lisa
  10. Thanks Sharon! Those sound pretty darn close.
  11. Here are the fragrance descriptions from a Scentsy consultant's website: French Kiss - Sweet fig tenderly caressed by coconut pulp, exotic cedar and caramel. (Not sure if that is Brown Sugar and Fig) Sweet Indulgence - Exotic, musky sandalwood balanced with the sweetness of fresh-picked blackberries. Both sound delish. Wish I knew what they were too.
  12. Rhonda's got some good stuff. Love everything I've tried.
  13. Everything I have tried has been absolutely wonderful. The Celestial Sea is awesome! Keep them coming Rhonda.
  14. Too funny Karen. I'm right there with ya. I've been doing my best to stimulate as well. Guess I'm too addicited to stop now. Lisa
  15. Okay ladies, please keep in mind that this is the perspective of a newbie and there is still a lot for me to learn. I just started experimenting with this wax. So far I really like it. I don't mix it with anything either. It makes a really beautiful, creamy looking candle. Glass adhesion is pretty good. Although I have to admit, wet spots aren't a major concern for me at this point. I do get a little shrinkage around the wick after it cools. This could maybe be corrected by adjusting my pouring temp? I have sampled about 6 fragrances and all threw really well except for one. I use 6% fo. All had great CT too except for the one scent. I have only tried zinc wicks as well, and they burn beautifully. I haven't had any issues with smoking or soot. It's definitely a wax that I am going to continue testing. Maybe experimenting with different wicks, pouring temps, etc... I think this wax has a lot of potential. So far I have been very pleased with it.
  16. I didn't find anything for mercha mart, but you may want to try specialtybottle.com. They have tons of different bottles including 1 oz. amber. HTH
  17. Thanks for sharing Groovy. How do you think the scent throw compares to regular wicked candles?
  18. I'll have to try LS. I've been looking for a good caramel apple too. Peaks didn't do it for me either. Thanks Karen.
  19. I think Jenn is talking about J225, not 223. I've never tried this wax Jenn, but I did read that it was a tad harder than the J223. I'm not sure what else it could be. Is it opaque or translucent? Did you ask C&S if it's possible that you received the wrong wax? I would insist on taking it backing and getting a new slab. According to the description, it should hold 1.5% FO without leakage. Aren't Vanillas etc... typically heavier scents? If they aren't willing to work with you, I would contact IGI tell them how your wax is performing, which is nothing like it's description. I'm curious to see how this unfolds. I was thinking of trying this wax a little while back.
  20. Hi everyone, Okay, I'm still trying to decide on which wax to test next. You would think I was making some life altering decision for as long as this is taking me. Here's what I have tried so far; 4630, 6006, CBL129 and 130 as well as soy. I'm still experimenting with soy, but also want to find a good paraffin. This may sound crazy, but wet spots don't really bother me as long as I get an excellent scent throw. So I'm taking a vote. The wax with the most votes wins. I know everyone has their own opinion, and what works for some doesn't for others. I've tried waxes that other people love, but didn't work for me. So I thought I would make this decision a little more fun and ask for votes. Trust me, I won't be mad if the next wax I try based upon recommendations doesn't work either. I will just keep trying. So please vote for my next wax to test. Thanks a bunch, Lisa
  21. Jenn, I've tried GW444 and the GW464. Both have excellent throw with almost every scent I have tried. I'm still experimenting with it, but I really like it. I like the look of the GW464 a little better though. Very nice and creamy. I've never had to repour the GW waxes. I think if you are only mixing 20%, this won't be an issue. I've never mixed them with J223, so I'm not sure how they will react with your wax. Some suppliers offer samples by the pound so you don'y have to try 10 pounds at once. Lisa
  22. Hi all, There has been some mention about Swans Candles lately. Just curious if anyone has tried their J60 Scent Blend wax. It sounds great. I live in the midwest, shipping would be a killer, and it only comes in a 45lb. case. Hoping to find someone who has tried it. Thanks, Lisa
  23. Just wondering how the testing went with your samples. Were you trying any in wax? I've been thinking of ordering. Trying to find some unique and different scents. A lot of theirs sound amazing. Thanks, Lisa
