  1. Thanks Jeanie. Sounds like good stuff so far, good luck!
  2. Jeanie, I hear you have been testing. How's it going? Please share your thoughts on this wax when you have time. I've been curious. Thanks, Lisa
  3. Many thanks. I've been testing J50 and J223 off and on for a while when I have the funds and the time. I can't get a full melt pool in a 3" wide tumbler and the HT isn't that great. I've only tried zincs and LX's so far. I'm going to try a few more wicks before I give up on it. I may give CBL125 ot TCS a try if all else keeps failing.
  4. May I ask what wicks you are using with the CBL125? And not to change the suject, but have you started your testing of the Candle Source wax yet?
  5. Mango and Cranberry. I wasn't sure about it, but smelled a tart like this and it was pretty nice.
  6. Those look great Soy! Are they 100% EcoSoya PB? They almost look glossy like paraffin. No frosting or shrinkage, wow. Can't wait to hear how they smell. I've been experimenting with tarts lately, but so far mine suck.
  7. I agree with Karen, J223 is a great wax. I just started using this wax, but so far it has been easy to wick and has excellent throw.
  8. You crack me up Soy:laugh2: Keep us posted...
  9. Hi there, I have this posted in the classifed section as well. Really hoping someone can help. I was wondering if anyone had a couple of pounds of Just Scent's 50/50 pillar-votive wax that they would be willing to spare. I contacted Becky at Just Scent and she said they no longer offer sample sizes. Bummer, I would love to try it, but I don't think I want to buy 50 lbs. to do so. If anyone is willing to help, I can pay through Paypal. Please and thank you, Lisa
  10. ICS carries a Sugared Spruce. Tried it and it's great! Aztec and Just Scent have one too. Never tried em' though. I love pine too, all year long. Crazy huh?
  11. How about Plumberry Spice, Sugared Plums, Pecan Pie, Candied Yams, Cinnamon, Bayberry, and Hot Buttered Rum?
  12. Sorry for the duplicate. I type slow, lol. I was typing as Pleasure was posting.
  13. Bed Bath & Beyond carries Yankee candles. Yankee has Autumn Leaves, Autumn Wreath, and Autumn Fruit, but no Autumn Apple. Maybe she meant Bath and Body Works. They have one called Autumn Apple by Slatkin & Co. General Wax as a fragrance oil called Autumn Apple. It doesn't say if it's a "type" or not. Might be worth checking out.
  14. Candlewic has it. It is listed as one of their Ultimate Scents. Sorry, I've never tried it so I can't post a review.
  15. Thanks! Did you try the Key Lime Pie as well? I've been meaning to order. Great stuff at KY:smiley2:
  16. Thanks Shari. I might have to try the ones from Nu-scents. Have you ever tried straight 4794 in your warmers? What are the benefits to mixing soy with it? Thanks again, Lisa
  17. Elements Bath and Body has one called Summer Escape. It's been a while since I smelled Sun and Sand, but I think it's a pretty close dupe. HTH
  18. Thanks for the reviews. Hawaiian Breeze didn't get a very good review on their website. I may have to try it after all. I think I will cross off the Holly Berry. I was thinking more berries and pine, not perfumey.
  19. Shari, What kind of warmers do you have? Are they a 24 watt lightbulb? And you get good scent throw? I haven't seen those. It might be a simple solution to switch if I can't get these figured out. Thanks, Lisa
  20. Good luck with it. Yes, please let me know how you like it, and if it works in your warmers. Lisa
  21. I have zinc wicks from both Peaks and Lonestar, and they are definitely not the same. Okay, the same in nature, but they don't perfom the same. I liked the zincs from CS too. When they stopped carrying them, I tried others, but wasn't completely satisfied. Now I'm trying ECO's. I like the way they burn so far, but I don't think my HT is as good. I may have to try C&S zincs if these fall through. Thanks for the info. Lisa
  22. Hi, I actually went with IGI 1230 Straight Paraffin, not sure why, and now wish I hadn't. This stuff is rock hard! Not very attractive either. Almost translucent. I added about 1/4 teaspoon of vybar to a pound of wax. Heated it to 190 degrees, added 6% FO, cooled and poured. Okay, it has awesome CT and awesome HT if using it in a tealight tart warmer. Bad news, I couldn't get the tart to melt in my 15wt. plug-in. I'll still use it for tealight warmers. It's not easy to work with, kind of ugly (I didn't color them), and didn't work in what I had wanted it to. So onto something else. Maybe I'll try adding a little J50 to some. If you try the 4794 with 415 for clamshells, let me know how it does. I will probably try it next, but I have 9 pounds of this stuff to use up first. I just don't get it. Scentsy can makes a wax that melts in one of these warmers, and I can't figure it out. That's what started this whole thing. I bought a Scentsy warmer and loved it. Then found something like them from BCN. Thought, hey I can make my own, cool. Not so much. I really don't know what direction to take now.
  23. Are you putting them in candles or soap? Just wondering how their FO's do in wax. Thanks:smiley2:
  24. Thank you. I think 4794 and Ecosoya PB have about the same melt point, so hopefully it will work. I guess I won't know unless I try. Thanks again!
  25. I have some plug -in wamers that take a 15wt. light bulb from Bittercreek. I haven't made tarts yet, and I am wondering if IGI 4794 Votive wax will work in these. I use J50 for containers, but I think it is too soft for tarts/melts. I was considering trying IGI 4794 for my tarts. These little warmers get pretty warm, but not sure if they are warm enough to melt 4794 and produce a decent throw. Does anyone use these? If so, which wax do you think works best in them. Many thanks, Lisa
