  1. Yeah, huge quantites, not there yet. Hopefully someday. Thanks for the link, I'll order a sample pack.
  2. Where did you get yours? Candlescience has them, but the 1 and 2's are only 3".
  3. Alright, my minds made up, I'm going to give them a try. The only downfall I see is the smaller wicks are only 3" in length. I guess I could always buy a spool of the smaller sizes and tab my own if needed. Thanks for the input ladies.
  4. Top, I think it looks gorgeous! I love pillars, just haven't been brave enough to try em' yet. Keep us posted on how it burns:wink2: Lisa
  5. Jokerjen, Thanks, they sound great. No more shrooms:grin2: Do you get as good of scent throw with the ECO's as you did the zincs? I'm really pleased with the scent throw I've been getting, which is why I've hesitated trying a new wick. I just might have to get off my lazy butt and give these a try. Lisa
  6. May I ask which wax you use or which type? I use J50 and zinc wicks. I like zincs for the most part, but I see that Candle Science recommends ECO wicks with J50. I have been wanting to try them to see how they compare. Glad to hear you like them. Thanks, Lisa
  7. Someone said that Lonestar Candle has a good Balsam and Cedar dupe. I'd try there first.
  8. Hi Dee, I was reading about your skin problems, and thought I would share my story with you. I had perfect skin up until about 3 years ago. Overnight I developed a red, pimpled rash on my chin. They looked more like tiny blisters. This soon spread to my cheeks and forehead. The blisters or pimples would pop, crust over and new ones would show up. I tried treating it with everything over the counter I could think of. I was racking my brain trying to figure out what I had changed recently. No new soaps, fabric softeners, etc... Nothing I tried helped. I finally had to see a dermatologist. He diagnosed me with Rosacea. I have no family history of it, never had a skin problem in my life, and yet one day, it just showed up. I have since been using a prescription cream twice a day on my face. It does help control the symptoms, but I will forever have rosacea. Hopefully you're just having a reaction to something you've come in contact with. If it starts to worsen or spread, I would see a dermatologist. I let mine get out of control thinking I could treat this thing myself, not even knowing what it was. Good luck and keep me posted. Lisa
  9. Southern Soapers has one called Trippy Hippie. Sounds groovy!
  10. I just went to Elements Bath and Body website and Tammy has some FOH oils listed. I heard about Fragrance Oil Heaven after they closed so I never had a chance to order. I've read good things about them here. Any suggestions? Thanks, Lisa
  11. Thanks Casey. Funny thing, I just ordered some samples from KY, got them today. Bummer, I didn't include OMH. Oh well, I'll have to pick it up next time.
  12. I agree, just show me. They should state somewhere for new soapers that you have to click... print to see.
  13. Yes, thank you. It is a lot of fun. I'm messing with it trying to create a well balanced soap that isn't too exotic to start out with.
  14. Yeah, I kept clicking "calculate" and it would show me how much oil to use, but nothing about the lye/water. I just figured out that I have to hit the "view/print recipe" button, and there it is. Boy do I feel dumb now. I think this is going to be a great calculator now that I know how to use it. Thanks for your help. Lisa
  15. Hi all, I've been wanting to try CP soap for sometime now. I've been doing a lot of reading/research. I'm not ready to start just yet. Lye still intimidates me, and I have a lot more reading to do. I don't mean to sound dumb, but I don't get the lye calculator form soapcalc.net. I've read where a lot of people use it. I like that it lists just about evey oil out there, but I can't seem to figure how much lye and water I am supposed to use. I punch in a recipe and it tells me how much of the oils to use, but I don't see the lye part of it. What am I doing wrong? Wow, if I can't figure out a calculator, I'd better hang up the notion of making CP. Any direction here would be great. Thanks, Lisa
  16. Thanks for the suggestions ladies. I have been wanting to try Southern Garden Scents but wasn't sure how their FO's worked in candles. Looks like I will have to give them a try. Lisa
  17. Can anyone recommend a good Oatmeal, Milk & Honey for candles? I was in a gift shop the other day and smelled a lotion labled this and it was divine. The name never enticed me, but after smelling it, I love it. Thanks, Lisa
  18. I ordered this a while back in hopes it would smell like A&F Fierce. It does not. I tried it in 4630, and it was not a strong thrower at all. I see that Just Scent has Fierce if that is what you're looking for. I haven't tried it, but am hoping to order some soon. HTH, Lisa
  19. Brighterscents.com and Save On Scents (SOS) carry this fragrance oil. Sorry, I have not tested it. Lisa
  20. Thanks for the info. Karen. Can't wait to start testing.
  21. Hey there, I just purchased some J50 to start testing and was wondering what temperature to heat the wax to, and at what temperature should I add the fragrance oil to the wax? I looked on IGI's website, but it didn't offer much information. TIA, Lisa
  22. Lonestar now carries a wide variety of Libbey Glassware and lids. The prices look reasonable. Plus you can order a sample jar without having to buy a whole case. Great way to try out a new jar if anyone has been tempted to try Lisa
  23. Thanks Dee, Gonna have to add it to my list!
  24. Can anyone decribe this scent? It always comes up as a Millcreek favorite, but it sounds like an odd combination. Thanks, Lisa
