1. I know this is an old post but I wanted to add to it in case someone else is looking... Margaret at Crafty Chef Graphics is awesome!
2. I know someone who does great work and is sooo easy to work with. She almost seems to reach into your head and produce exactly what you need. Here is her site. Tell her that her favorite Navy wife sent you. :smiley2:
3. This is why when deciding what scents to use I made sure to focus myself on food scents only. I really can't stand florals and absolutely cannot make lavender as I have an allergic reaction to it!
4. I have some in an organza bag and since it's already been hot here I can say that they haven't melted entirely but they are sticking together! And the scent is fading fast, but it was a fairly light scent to start with (chocolate chip cookie from CS). Mine is hanging from the mirror in direct light so I'll be interested to see what happens with the ones you put in other locations!
5. I'm bumping this up because I'm curious too. I'm looking to store them in either polypropylene or polycarbonate food storage bins... would this work? TIA
6. Rats. Ok, well better to ask first then spend a ton of money and time on something I can't use. Thanks!
7. Just wanted to post some pics as I feel like I owe it after all the help I got here! These are the sachets for the drawers and these: of course are for the car.
8. Thanks... I guess I'll have to remember to put on my labeling that these are better for enclosed spaces. I really appreciate all the answers you all gave.
9. I was using the amount recommended in the instructions on BC. I'll add a smidge more this time around and see if that helps. I'd always heard they lasted around 30-60 days depending on the situation....
10. I know I would have to up the price. The persons who asked about it cannot tolerate the artificial scents. Whatever their reasoning I'm just trying to see if this is possible without "burning" the poor beads with the stronger oils.
11. I searched and read everything I could but couldn't find the answer so maybe someone can help me. I want to make aroma bead sachets with essential oils but I was wondering since they are so strong if I should mix them with a base oil first? Thanks in advance!
12. This sounds a little weird but was a request from a personal chef. They are looking for something that they can put in the car that will eliminate the cooking odors they bring home with them. But they don't want any of the scents that I offer, they are looking for something with no smell of its own. Am I looking for something that doesn't exist?
13. I went to the website in both google chrome and internet explorer and both gave me the backorder/renew website message. Hope this works itself out for you!
14. Hi, I hope this is in the right place. I've just begun making sachets with aroma beads and for about 2 weeks they are great, then they fade to almost nothing. They are not in extremely hot places and they are where air can move over them. I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed. All my FOs are from CS and I got the beads from Peak so it's not like I'm using inferior products. Any thoughts? Is there something I can add to make them last longer?
15. Not sure if they have exactly what you're looking for but Oregon trail soaps has a lot of flavor oils!
16. Finally! I got these done. Thanks so much!
17. Thanks.. I'll try again as this is what I did the first time... maybe it's my printer that doesn't like it.
18. Ok, now I need more help. I got my bags, everything is getting made in regard to the sachets, but I'm having a really tough time with my labels. I am trying to create a card that tents with my logo, name and website on one side and my warning info on the other. But every template I've tried messes up and doesn't print everything or turns my typing over so my warning is upside down when it prints. Does anyone have a trusted template or a resource for someone who can print these?
19. Is this due to an allergen outside? I used to wake up as a child with my eyes swollen and crusted shut in the mornings if there was ragweed pollen in the air. All I can say is maybe an air filter thing in your home, some allergy meds and keep a wet cool washcloth near the bed to wipe them.
20. Thanks everyone. I just ordered some polypro bags from uline and will see how they do... may do the double bag if I need to.
21. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was so thrown and confused because I really only was making them for hubby and then he calls tonight and says he has 2 people who definitly want some and more who are trying to decide! You may hear my head explode wherever you are as I really wasn't prepared to have things move so fast!
22. Thanks, do the cello bags keep the scent in?
23. Sorry if this is answered in another post, but I couldn't find it. I just got started and made a few sachet bags of aroma beads which I sent to my hubby who is deployed. Now everyone where he is seems to want some. My problem is how to I package these so that the scents don't mingle in the box on the way there? (His were all vanilla so I didn't have this problem) Thanks in advance!
