I haven't tried a ton of the fo's either but the ones I've tried have been great. I ordered samples before I ever read any reviews and I"m glad that I did. I might not have ordered based on some of the comments. But I did find some good oils that throw well for me and that I'll continue to use
I like Santa's Kitchen, Farmer's Market, Home Sweet Home, Cinnamon Sugar, Nana's Apple Butter, Snicker's Coffee. I know some people don't have luck with JS oils but they've always worked well for me. I use soy
I guess I'm the odd one here but I like double wicked jars. I double wick my apothecary jars and they burn great. They are 4" wide. I've gotten some that are single wicked and they didn't burn that well. I've never tried single wicking my apoth jars. My customers all like the double wicks
Chuck, I just got a sample slab of this the other day. I've only made 1 candle with it due to having a sick child. I had wondered how long to let it cure since there is so much soy in it. But it set up beautifully. No wet spots or frosting. I used blueberry muffins with navy liquid dye. Got great color. How much fo do you normally use pp? I just used 1 oz. I'm using cd wicks. I hope it works out for me since I can get it out of the Dallas warehouse
Can anyone tell me where to get colored tins for candles? I've seen some at craft shows that are black and a brownish/bronze color. I've googled it but all I can find are silver or gold. TIA
Well I have only ordered it from one place and that's Lonestar but mine is like what you describe from Candle Science. It's messy and sticky but it's not near as soft as vasoline. I wish it was easier to scoop out! I didn't answer your question I know but I just wanted to let you know my experience.
Good grief, sorry. I got interrupted by my kid when I was reading your question. Don't know why I thought you were asking about jars. I must've read too many posts yesterday! LoL I am testing the 4627 right now and I'm really liking it. It's a mess to work with but the scent throw is great. The strongest I've tested.
I like the apothecary jars myself. I double wick them and since there is such a wide opening, the scent throw is better. They work great in my living room and kitchen. But I use jelly jars also and those do good in smaller rooms.
I'll go back and look on their site and see what I find. Might give them a call too. There were several jars that I was interested in but of course didn't want to buy a whole case. I just never thought about asking for samples of jars. Thanks
