  1. I don't use any from the states you mentioned but if you are looking for a good supplier out west there is Peaks in CO. They are great! Good selection, great oils, fast shipping, and the prices are great. I've always had great customer service too!
  2. I agree with Debscent about Daystar. All of the oils I've ever tried from there have been incredibly strong. I love their oils! I've only tried them in candles though
  3. Yes the online rates are cheaper. Like the flat rate boxes that are 10.35 (I think) you can pay online and it's 9.85. I ship a lot using the flat rate boxes and I always do it online
  4. Isn't it strange how certain things will work for one person and not for another?? That's always amazed me. :smiley2: Candlemaking can be very frustrating. I've been doing this for 5 yrs and I still have problems sometimes. I don't think you ever quit learning with this hobby/business! LoL
  5. I use 1 tsp per lb and I don't get any soot. I use 444 and imo it does enhance the scent throw. I've never tried 1 tablespoon. I would think that might be a bit much but I don't know
  6. When I use mine I use the holes on each side of the center hole, if that makes any sense. Cause to me the next ones out are too far. A lot of times, I just eyeball it. But I don't have huge orders to get out either so I understand why you are wanting a quicker way to do it.
  7. Blackberry Sage, Chestnuts & Brown Sugar, Farmer's Market, Santa's Kitchen, Apple Cider, Cinnamon & Sugar, Nana's Apple Butter, Frosted Pumpkin, Snicker's Coffee. Those are all great in 444 soy!
  8. I don't use tureens but I use do double wick my 4" wide apoth jars and I place the wicks about an inch apart. It's always worked for me
  9. I use both and like both of them! I'm closer to Lonestar and get my order the next day. Peak is usually a couple days. I get my soy container wax from Peak and some scents. Most of my wicks and paraffin wax come from Lonestar. And a few scents too. Overall I've had a good experience from both places!
  10. BC has one too. It's a BNL version but it's great. I love it
  11. From your list I've only used Lonestar and Berts. Both are great with great customer service. I've never been disappointed. Bert's oils are priced great and so far the ones I've tried have thrown excellent in 444 soy wax
  12. I 2nd the Lemon Pucker from BCN. It's great and very strong. No fuel smell to me. I use it alone and also mix it 50/50 with Strawberry Jam for Strawberry Lemonade
  13. I've never tried JS either but I love Peak's Amish Harvest! I never bothered to try any others cause I like it so much
  14. I love JS oils. I use soy and all that I have tried have been great! The frosted pumpkin is really good. I also like Santa's Kitchen, Blackberry Sage, Chestnuts and Brown Sugar, Apple Cider, Cinnamon and Sugar, Farmer's Market. She has weekly sales and usually pretty good ones!
  15. Thanks for the reviews. I will be ordering some samples of a few that you mentioned!
  16. Just Scent has a cinnamon sugar oil that is a Yankee type. I've never used it though. The Yankee one smells good and I keep meaning to order it
  17. That is exactly why I stopped testing with c-3. I could not get it to work right for me. I tried cd, eco, and htp wicks...all sizes and no matter what I got sooting in the wax and either too big of a melt pool or the wicks would drown out. I've been using 444 since then and I love it. Has a great cold/hot throw and it's easy to work with. I liked it better than the 464. Hope you get it all worked out soon!
  18. Could also be called country porch maybe. My friend isn't sure. She threw away the hang tag with the name of the scent on it.
  19. Good deal! I'm glad it all worked out for you. And I love the name of your company!
  20. I don't know about NY but in my state you can have the same name registered as long as there is something different about it. Like it could be Black River Candle Company and Black River Kandle Company. I'm not sure if the co and company count as being different or not. And I don't know if it's the same in all states. It's a real PITA here though. My hubby and I ran into that when we had an insulation business. Another company had the same name as us but had added insulation on at the end an they let them register it. We were getting calls all the time looking for the other company and vice versa. They were located about 1 1/2 hrs from us. If it ever happens to me again, I'm changing my name to avoid the hassle
  21. Looking for an oil called Front Porch. I searched the board and saw that Bert's used to have it. I can't find it on her site now. Tried the fragrance oil finder site too and didn't come up with anything. A friend has a candle in this scent and wants me to find it for her. I'm beginning to think it's something somebody renamed. Anyone heard of it? TIA
  22. Thanks guys! I think both of those would work! I did find a couple at walmart that I might try that are basically the same thing. Thanks for the links..I'll keep them for future reference in case I need more than a couple!
  23. Is the spring workshop always in Eureka Springs? If so that would be great cause that's not too far from me. I know the main one travels around
  24. Did anyone read the comments after the article? There is someone trying to scent hers with vanilla flavoring and cinnamon. I know people used to make candles with fat but it just seems kinda pointless now
  25. Hello, I'm trying to find some pantry jars like the ones at www.kountrylights.com I didn't want to post their actual pic. I've search the board and the web but I'm not finding anything. They kinda look like cracker jars but not exactly. Anyone know of a place to get these? TIA
