  1. Twigs & Berries is no longer selling oils. Add another supplier to the list. Shame cause I have a wholesale account that loves their grandpa's pipe :0(
  2. LOL, I make my Nag a dark blue and patchouli is purple and red swirls. Just proves how every scent/color combo is interpreted differently by each person.
  3. Those are very cute! You have way more patience than I do!
  4. Nice job, I never would have known it was a rebatch!
  5. I think as a whole right now people are not buying as much. It is kinda hard to judge your success right now based on the state of the economy. How many link partners do you have? Those really do help. Swap links with similar "feeling" websites. Also, what keywords are you using? are they something the average shopper would be searching on like candles or scented candles or something more specific to your site. You need to think like a consumer when it comes to your website keywords. Do you have a mailing list? Encourage people to sign up by offering a monthly drawing for a free candle or bar of soap. Once your list starts building use that a tool to reach your potential customers and turn them in to buyers. Send out periodic newsletters with new products or mailing list only specials. Make it enticing so they come back to your site to buy. Is your website address on EVERYTHING? Your biz cards, products, brochures, etc. Hand out cards to everyone you meet. You never know where your next new customer will come from. Word of mouth is one of the best ways to promote your website. Chin up, fall time is coming and hopefully MORE BUSINESS! Best of luck to you.
  6. I agree with Stella 100% Our accountant was wonderful with us the 1st year we were in biz. He gave me a list of expenses I never dreamed of including in our biz (many listed by Stella above). We took him our books every quarter for the 1st 2 years and he went over them and told us things we needed to improve on and things we were doing correctly. Now (10 years later) we have such a good system in place that we only need to see him at year end (and the occasional phone call with a question or 2). I agree that you need to include EVERYTHING and every square foot of your home that is used by your business. Our office is in the corner of the family room so that SQ footage is included as well as a % of the kitchen and the entire area for our actual shop. Internet charges, heating costs, etc...we give the total of these things to him and he determines the correct % that is attributed to the business. Ok, I'm rambling now, LOL!
  7. We have 2 of the King Canopy's and they are great. It is NOT a 2 person put it up in 5 minutes type of tent though (ours is 10x20). But I will say it is strong and sturdy and holds up well. We have had one of them for 5 years now the other for 3 and neither shows any sign of wear (some of the poles have some scratches on them but that is nothing). We use ours for a 4 day festival in August each year, Relay for life (3 days) and any back yard get together. As long as you properly dry and stow the tarps you should be good. Now, my neighbor at the festival used nothing but EZ-ups and has for the past 8 years. He swears by their durability and ease to put up/tear down We had a quick shade when we first started out 10 years ago but they were kind of low and people kept hitting their heads on them.. HTH!
  8. How about something cutsie like: "If you are hot, so are your candles"?
  9. Are you making the votives for you or to sell? If they are just for you then go for it. But if you plan on selling them...if it were me, no. Without knowing what wax they are made from you may 1) have trouble wicking them correctly and 2) not be able to exactly duplicate them in the future. What if they turn out really good and burn beautifully and sell like crazy? How would you make more for your customers? I would rather buy my own raw material and create my own formula. JMO, GL with whatever you decide.
  10. Yeah, they spam me at least 3 times a week despite requesting they stop emailing me from evey possible email account on each of my websites
  11. I would vote for the FO too. Let it sit a while and see if it absorbs back in.
  12. Beautiful, your swirls are just lovely.

  15. Here is a bat/ball: http://www.wholesaledollclothes.com/sub_categories/Doll_Accessories/Sports_Balls.htm
  16. That color is PERFECT for that scent. Beautiful job!
  17. We always package our candles in the original boxes and then inside of another box with lots and lots of padding. We prefer UPS, FedEX has been nothing but headaches for us (lost packages, broken shipments, poor tracking system, etc.)
  18. Holy cow, that is one BEAUTIFUL pillar!
