  1. Kick her ass Tweek!!!! You go girl! I love it! I bet (when she read that letter) you couldn't drive a pin in her ass with a jackhammer! :spit: lol See ya girl! Beverly
  2. Problem is that when she tells her friends you'll have to contend with them also. I caught her in lie after lie. When I confronted her about it, I haven't heard another word out of her! As for the name calling, she does deserve it. I am glad that Tweek let us know about it. Too late for me. But if it keeps another of my fellow chandlers from being scammed, then it was well worth it! 3. I need to re-build my website. Long story... . Anywho, I was wondering if you guys could suggest some easy software that I could use to rebuild it. I already have my hosting, but their builder isn't the best nor do they have a template that I am thrilled with. I used Site Studio builder thru my previous host, but to buy it is $$$$. And it doesn't really have alot of extras to it. Thanks for any suggestions. Take care, Beverly S
  4. Just received a reply to my email. She has an answer for everything. Even included a pic of her doing her DJ thing. I would post it here, but I figured it might get deleted. Any of you who want a copy, just email me. Beverly S
  5. Thanks,:embarasse Just one of those things. I'll take being an honest person any day over being evil and corrupt. I have a conscience. I couldn't live with myself if I did that to someone. Beverly S
  6. Don't feel bad. The B*TCH got me too. I just emailed her asking about her radio station and the reviews. I will let you know if I hear back from her. Beverly S Her email is Suzie0156@aol.com
  7. Ok guys and gals, What are your policies on product returns? Do you ever feel like one customer is trying to take advantage of the situation? Or that there is "no pleasing" this customer whatever you do? What is the best way to handle someone like this, without possibly hurting your future sales? e.g. Someone bad mouthing your product! Thanks for any replies! Beverly S
  8. Just like Kaybee, I use needle nose plyers! Works like a charm. I crimp them when I buy them, so that I don't have to do it as I go along. But as Kaybee was saying, be careful not to crimp too much or it will warp the base of the tab. Beverly S
  9. I love these! They are awesome! Beverly S:thumbsup:
  10. Very pretty candles! Nice job! Beverly S
  11. I ordered several of the 1 oz EVOs from Candlewic. They had the best prices that I could find. Not many EVO suppliers out there. I'll let you know how they work out. Thanks for the tips everyone! Beverly S:whoohoo:
  12. After. I always manage somehow to drip some down the side! I am a klutz! Beverly S
  13. As a CPA, I can personally tell you that you do not want someone that they hire off of the street for tax season only. You want someone that does this year around. We bill only for the time that we spend working on your return or bookkeeping. Also, I always look back at the prior year return to see what deductions that you took to be sure that you didn't forget something. It can happen to the best of us. Also, we mail out "organizers" at the end of the year. These organizers show what was used on the prior year return to help you remember what information to gather. You can fill out the information right on the organizer. Also, it has a list of questions on new tax issues to help determine if there are any new tax breaks that apply to you. Just remember to add up all of your deductions yourself. Don't take it in a bag for them to sort thru. It will cost you alot of money if you do, because they are having to spend extra time adding the stuff up. HTH. Beverly S P.S. Of course, this is how my firm handles things. I cannot guarantee that others do the same. Be sure to ask.
  14. I have only been making candles for a couple of years. I don't get to post as often as I would like due to my full time job. As a fairly new candlemaker, I was shocked at the rudeness of a couple of posts to this thread! Donita, I looked at your candles and thought OMG!!! They are the most beautiful creations that I have ever laid eyes on! I am the type of person that gets more benefit out of a hands on experience or step-by-step tutorial, such as yours. I would gladly pay for one! I don't think that is too much to ask as far as the years that you have spent perfecting your masterpieces. I think that it is generous of you to offer your expertise to us! That, to me, makes you "gem" of a person! Thanks again. Beverly S:bow:
  15. Thanks for the replies. I notice the FD& C dyes on one website for candlemaking supplies (Candlemakers store, i believe). Creekside, thanks for clarifying what they are. I didn't notice that they were for bath & body only. duh on my part! lol Beverly S
  16. I just got an email from him. So, I don't know about any others. I saw some FD&C dye. Do any of you know anything about this kind? See ya Beverly S
  17. aimeelynne, Thanks for the heads up! I almost bought some from him yesterday, but something told me to hold off! lol. Always trust your gut instinct. The moment that I don't, it bites me right in the @$$! Beverly S
  18. Thanks for replying. I appreciate it. I'll have to check out that EVO dye. See ya, Beverly S
  19. Thank you KMommy for being so nice. I was beginning to wonder if I should slouch off into a corner and never post again. Thank you again. Beverly S.
  20. I didn't mean that as a criticism. Sorry you took it that way. With my luck, I would have some moron that would be stupid enough not to blow out the flame and sue me. Then, I would be lucky enough to have a judge that would side with the moron. That was my thought behind my post. I certainly didn't mean to offend anyone. That is the bad thing about posting. You can't hear the person's voice to determine whether they are being a smart butt or not. Also, if you worried about offending every person out there, you would type a post that is page long. Take care, Beverly S.
  21. If that were me, I would have gotten sued the first week of production! lol. That looks like a lawsuit waiting to happen. Beverly S
  22. I have just started using this wax. I poured my first set of candles at 150 and they were just beautiful. What temp did you pour at? Maybe you poured too hot. We just had a thread on here about pouring too fast or slow; and most people agreed that it didn't make much of a difference. Maybe someone else with a little more experience in this wax will lend a little advice. We have some very knowledgible people on this board! They are great at giving advice. Take care, Beverly S
  23. I know that everyone has a different opinion on what works for them and what doesn't. Don't want to offend anyone, but I hated EZsoy. I tried everything & had a time with the scent throw. Of course, I know you have to let it cure a long time (weeks) on some scents. I am not that patient of a person. I have also used C-3. It has an awesome scent throw and is relatively easy for me to wick. I didn't have to wait but 5 to 7 days on curing. The only problem that I had with it was sink holes around the wick and a tad of frosting. When it comes down to it, I had rather have sink holes than rough looking tops, excessive frosting, & lack of scent throw. HTH, Beverly S P.S. I have about 25 pounds of EZSoy to get rid of if anyone is interested.
  24. I have hung ornies in my car during the summer months. So far, I haven't had any problem and our temps can get up to 100. I do make mine kind of thick to help with any possible melting problems. So far so good. Beverly S
