  1. I use the same wax and the longer it cured the better it got. After 3-4 weeks I had some amazingly strong scented candles. Donna
  2. Thanks for all the suggestions! I'll make a list and go through them all one by one eventually I'll stumble across one that I like! I have a few patchouli EO's too. I'll start experimenting! Donna
  3. I know either people love it or hate it! I love it actually but I've tried so many I lost count and I can't get one that has a decent throw. The ones that do throw well aren't really patchoulish if that makes sense! Anyone have any recommendations? Donna
  4. Pam- I use the PB blend all the time and it does have a creamy "matte" type finish but I like it. Not sure if you can add anything or do anything to make them more shiney. As far as the votives go: using metal molds they slide right out. Once in a while I get a darn stubborn one and then I just stick it in the freezer for a few and it pops out. HTH Donna
  5. More like pitted and holey. I'm wondering if there were air pockets under the wick tab that got released as the candle cooled. Going to try again later today. I'm definitely having one of those weeks...two more days of school...I can hardly wait. D.
  6. I'll have to check on that. I was using the 12 ounce quilted canning jars. The bottoms do have an upward curve to them. But I've poured these jars before and never had the results I got today. The weather here was quite unpredictable for the past few days could that have anything to do with it? D.
  7. I've been using the eco soya 135 for about 4 months and never had this happen. I pour at 150 also. I just thought it was odd that the tins were beautiful but the jars weren't. Just when I thought I had it right this happened! Lol...back to the melting pot. Donna
  8. I have no idea what could have happened....Using ecosoya CB 135, heated to 185, added FO at 170, no dye, poured into 12 oz glass jars and 4 oz tins...I ran out to the market and when I came back about 1 1/2 hours later the wax in the jars was full of air pockets and pits while the tins were beautiful and creamy. It was about 74 degrees at the time...did I pour too fast? too slow? I've never had this happen before and for it to happen to the glass jars and not the tins just confuses me more! I appreciate any input on what I did wrong..or am I just having another "one" of those days? Donna
  9. I'm using the butt naked from Bittercreek smells tropical almost like a drink but I can't remember which one! I think my braincells are fried from all the smelling I've been doing lately and I know my kids are sick of me sticking things under their noses and asking what's this smell like to you? Donna
  10. Some great ideas! Thanks !! The scent does remind me of a tropical vacation so I think I'll go along that line of tropical breeze. I just couldn't bring myself to call it butt naked! Thanks again. Donna
  11. I made some beautiful tins using Butt Naked FO so many people loved it! My problem is my church asked if I'd make a basket to donate to their summer fun and tricky tray day...I'd love to include the butt naked but well...the name? Anyone else change the name a bit for similar reasons? I'm trying to think of something else to call it, any ideas? Donna
  12. I make my tarts from ecosoya PB and they come out great. Smooth and creamy and the scent throw is amazing after about a two week curing time. I can only imagine the cost of shipping wax from the US to Europe! I know it's painful to see how much I pay and that's usually from Pennsylvania to New York. Bright blessings, Donna
