  1. Hey just wanted to add to this: I got the small square adhesive covers from Taylored, and used one this morning. I snipped into ea. corner, so it would fold down nice, and it works very well! Looks nice and neat, sticks well, and is very sturdy... I'm satisfied! My kids noticed the new jar and commented on Mommy's "nice candle!"
  2. Awww, man, CB, don't you just hate that???
  3. There is another thread maybe a few down that has a lot of burn reviews and a good number from soy users...HTH! Hopefully those folks can shoot Bert a line and let her know what's working for them and she can add it to her scent descriptions page...
  4. Ok, People, definately want to add to the list of Bert's winners: Eggnog Christmas Tree-Ooo, lovin' this one! Raspberry Paradise (more of a summer, beach type scent, but great and a great thrower!) Vanilla Latte (also try mixing this 50/50 w/ a pumpkin!) Lemon Biscotti (BIG seller!) Pumpkin Custard Spice-not AS spicy when burning, warm and yummy! Apple Cinnamon- more apple than cinnamon, more of a cider scent! (I mix this w/ ICS Pumpkin Pie Filling to make my current favorite scent!) Christmas Pear-can definately be re-named for use yr. round! Creamy, yummy sweet spice and pear! Raspberry Brulee- (reminds me a lot of CS Wildberry Mousse) Oatmeal Cinna Crunch- I am currently testing this 50/50 w/ FOH Caramel Dip, smelled sooo good when I poured it!) All of these throw great in my 50/50, I wick up on: Lemon Biscotti, Vanilla Latte, and Pumpkin Custard Spice! I will be testing her Sasafrass (not sure how to spell this!) Cherry, and Cranberry next! Pured Redwood and Cedar, have to burn it yet... a very clean scent, would be good as a men's soap, IMO!
  5. Ya know, I really like that.... You have to try the eggnog...it's yummy! Mmmmmm, Christmas Pear, and EGGNOG! (I'm very into mixing right now! lol!)
  6. I agree 100%!!! What kinda ideas didja have for a name?? BTW: update on the Christmas Tree and the Eggnog... I am lovin' the Christmas Tree...it keeps getting stronger ea. day, and I only poured a 4 oz tin... gettin' more of this one! The Eggnog got moved into my living room this morning, and it really is a yummy scent, very sweet and nice, and a slight touch of sweet spice...yum...
  7. Hi Karen, I have used all the ones that CB mentioned and also her Cool Citrus Basil and Moonlight Path. I'd be interested in what the Cinna Crunch is like as well...
  8. I have a question, just out of curiosity: does the scent stay behind in your oven for awhile after you bake these??
  9. Ok, Farmhouse 50/50: JS Chestnuts and Brown Sugar (yea, yea, who DOESN'T get this one to throw, right?? lol!) MC- Bayberry, Winter Candy Apple, Lilac Breeze, Warm Vanilla Sugar Farmhouse- Snowy Pine, Cool Citrus Basil, Honeydew Melon Bert's Lemon Biscotti, Raspberry Brulee, Apple Cinnamon, Fig and Melon, Oatmeal Cinna Crunch, Christmas Pear, Vanilla Latte ICS Japanese Plum C&S Mulberry Spice, Musk DS Blackberry Jam Butter Cookie, Forbidden Pomegranate, Vanilla Bean Noel BCN Strawberry Jam That's all my tired brain can come up with without spinning from all the scents flying around in my head! :rolleyes2
  10. Absolutely love the Farmhouse 50/50- easy as can be, works well w/ lots of scents, one pour (I do slow cool, otherwise I can potentially get some frosting-nothing major- and a slight wax "nipple" around my wick, which is gone as soon as someone lights it up!) Few wet spots, great load capacity, and cold, hot throw!
  11. Mt. Annie~ I am currently testing the Christmas Tree in 50/50, I really like the scent...it is a pine, but a nice sweet pine to my nose...I will post more details in a few days..I'm gonna move it into a bigger room tonight, it did well last night in my bathroom... I also lit the Eggnog, it is sweet and creamy, no spice here, again, I will post more on throw in a few days, but the preliminary tests are good!
  12. Mmmm...not a bad idea...that and some business cards....thanks for the thought, Care Bear!
  13. Uh, Bert, nah, that's not him...but he sometimes does get that same look on his face when he sees ALLLLL my little bottles...LOLOL!!! :rolleyes2 Thanks, CB-that's my Uma girl; the funniest doggie I've ever had the pleasure of knowing...love her to bits!
  14. OK, last night I poured Redwood and Ceder, Eggnog, and Christmas Tree in 50/50, I will be posting burn results in the next few days, want to give them a bit of a cure... The other night I had Bert's Christmas Pear in a melter, and my husband, who typically doesn't notice anything that I am burning commented on it's strength! I think I can actually cut back on the amnt of oil I typically use in tarts for this one! It smeells so good, and lingered all the next morning long after I turned it off!
  15. I'm not giving up the idea yet...my husband uses a different bank, he can ask there...!
  16. Good question...I'd be interested to hear what folks think about this....
  17. You would get more help with this kind of question in the General Candle Making Forum. There are posts at the top of the forum as well for you to read and you can gather a LOT of information there! HTH!
  18. Have Bert's Christmas Pear melting in my LR, and have CS Hollyberry burning in my kitchen...
  19. Well, had to stop in the drive-thru this afternoon so I put the question to the teller; they're not allowed to burn candles...
  20. Wow! Everyone's so busy! Good luck to all of you doing shows!! Hoping for lots of sales for you all and big $$$$!!!
