  1. Shoot, Rachel, I was hoping to hear that people go for the "uncolored"look! (don't feel like dealing w/ a whole new world of B&b dyes!)
  2. Do most of you color or leave them clear?
  3. Hello, New to all the B&B stuff and i hope you guys don't mind some stupid questions for a little while as I learn new things! with the Body Mists...I have heard really good things about the cyclomethicone mixed w/ FO, and some good things about a few suppliers bases...here's my question: is it possible to mix a LITTLE cyclo WITH a body spray base to get some of the benefits of it w/out the high cost? Thanks all! Sharon
  4. Hi Jim, I would like to also add that we had MUCH more succcess w/ our hot throw when we started using a hotter burning wick. I am not familiar w/ the IGI wax that you use but I use a blend that is mainly J223, and switched from zinc wicks to Heinz CD's for most of my FO's with a much better hot throw. I add FO, and pour at basically the same temps as you do. Just a thought! Good luck!
  5. Thank you Henry, I just e-mailed Vicky at KY, regarding preservative and whatever other info she can give me, although you have just about answered everything for me...now, to find some cheap bottles! BTW, I have found some locally at Sally Beauty Suuplies, and am off to check those out and maybe save on shipping, although they don't have prices on their web site! I think they are nationwide so if I like what I find, I'll post and let everyone know!! Thanks for all the help everyone! Sharon
  6. EMercier, I do go to Candes and Suppiles when I can also, it IS hard to get there in the summer. I am glad to know that you found bottles on the sale racks there, cause reg. price, they are high!
  7. Hi all, thanks for all the great info...looks like I have even more to research than I thought! Henry K, have you used the body/room spray base from KY? If so, have you found that it is compatible w/ B&B safe FO's, and that it stays mixed w/ out shaking? the price sure is better than the cyclo, and I don't know if i want to get involved with a lot of ratio mixing, as Candleman suggested w/ the fractionated Coconut oil...(but I appreciate the advise!) As far as what people percieve the cyclo to be silky/ or oily, I can see that that varies, I am guessing that as the spray base is alcohol based(I believe), it is fast drying and not oily feeling. Has anyone else used this base?
  8. Thanks, you guys! Maybe you can look at my other thread about making these puppies anddhelp me figure out a way to do this and make it worth it!
  9. Ok, I am wracking my brains (and calculator) here to figure out how to make a body/linen spray using cyclomethicone and FO, and after doing much research on supply costs, cannot seem to get it to be worth doing and selling retail. If I triple MY cost, folks can go ahead and purhcase cheaper @ BBW! I really wanted to give this a try, but I won't if it isn't gonna be worth it. Can any of you give me any ideas as to what might be a better way to go w/ these? I have been looking at 8 oz sprayer bottles, the cyclo., and of course, FO, labels, etc... Thanks for all the help!!
  10. Hello everyone-boy-this IS different, huh? OK, I am thinking about branching out a bit into B&B, something simple like body spray. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where they find the most cost-effective bottles and sprayers. Thanks in advance!
