  1. I don't know about specific shampoo bars, but with funds being low here, I've been using my castile soap on my hair and omg it's wonderful. It's not all that bubbly but it cleans gently and isn't leaving my hair limp at all. I have thick coarse hair, color treated and prone to split ends. Just for the heck of it, today I used my regular conditioning shampoo and my hair looked aweful compared to what it had looked like. The castile doesn't really feel like it's bubbling hair clean, but it's cleaning it, I can tell. It also makes my hair feel much softer and that's what I look for in a shampoo. After regular shampoo use today and seeing how yukky it left my hair compared to the castile, tomorrow I'm going right back to my castile. Oh and with just the castile, I can run my fingers through my hair without conditioner which I wouldn't be able to do if I dared to use store bought soap on it. My hair would be a matted mess since it's mid length and layered.
  2. Yup I checked the jar store and price plus shipping to me, two states away makes it 100 bucks a case. I was planning on picking some up though when I go to visit my parents so for me, it's a good option if it comes in less than the others with the shipping included.
  3. Nice list thanks for putting that up! You left out the jar store in Conn. Their price is a little high but they have c-3 too.
  4. Wow!!! Look at that!!! Can't wait to see what you do with it too!! Congrats!!! Soap baby dances for the first liquid soap you made!!! LOL
  5. Thank you! They really are fun to make. Check out Grumpy's tutorial to get a feel for how it's done.
  6. Thank you! Very cool Fire! You're really loving that GM!! You are a lot braver than I am with the GM. I'm going to try it soon.
  7. Oh cool. I had to find it through a google cache link. It's there but hard to find. Thank you for posting that one!!! I have never seen it before. Will help a lot with cylinders!!!!
  8. Gorgeous swirls and knowing your soap and bath products now personally, I'm sure it's winner!!!
  9. Thank you PA!!! All with the help of people here and the books they recommended and links. I can't thank you all enough!!!
  10. LOL and I can't wait to get to whiff yours OMG!!! This is gonna be fun!!
  11. Well what's great is they're a great price really, for the little you need to use in soap. Good luck with your eye shadows! Can't wait to see some!!
  12. Looks yummy! LOL So those bars are going to be like 9 oz piece then or so? That's some big bars! Very nice!
  13. OMG You're right!!!! LMAO really, overthinking it is right. Man, you're a genius MA!!! I mean that...that's the best way to approach this one yet. And it makes a lot of sense if you know the recipe you're using well. Genius!!! Thank you!!! Love math, but with the more complicated stuff that I haven't gone over since like high school, it doesn't love me sometimes. I tackle as I go, as needed then it clicks and stays there.
  14. Thank you! That was done with the pop colors from tkb.
  15. LMAO thanks for the advice! LOL I'm actually thinking of using something that I can mix it right in it's mold somehow. Just trying to figure the attack out exactly. Kids are sick and soap plans just not moving forward so it's not happening yet. Still devising it though.
  16. Yup it's a goof, and I want to see the effects of the higher beeswax. I'm still undecided on adding the stearic too, but it's a tiny batch I'd be doing and just want to try it. It's nothing serious, it's just for fun and if it works and is something good, then I know what I can do. I like to push myself like this with stuff. Keeps it exciting.
  17. Gorgeous bars Barbara!!! OMG the effect is just perfect on the cuts.
  18. So you've soaped beeswax before? This is going to be a personal thing on a very small scale for myself. I'm looking for creamy and not sudsy really when it comes to shaving. The rest can be all coconut for all I care after the beeswax is in it. I'm still undecided on exact what I'm doing, but I want to see what it does for myself. It's a curiousity thing mostly and if it comes out good for me, then it's even better. LOL Here's what soaper's choice says about it... Part of it's gonna sap, the unsappables, I want to see what's good or bad about it. I might even try to do an exact lye with like 1% superfat, then add something else after it's traced a bit, to superfat it for more slip.
  19. Just figured out my funds to see if I could do a box of c-3 and it's gone from their site. No more. OMG I wanna scream. LOL
  20. Yeah that's what I got too. I actually emailed her to let her know her dyes weren't up on the menu anymore, and she responded that an email is going out to customers soon. I really have to see what I can manage. I have an fo of hers I love, and of course will need c3 in the future so hope I can grab some before she leaves. Happy for her she's going onto better things.
  21. I'm totally bummed to say the least. Hoping I can pick up some wax and FO before they leave. I was totally shocked to hear it. They're moving onto bigger and better things though so that's a good thing! Just stinks for customers. LOL No idea where I'll get my C-3 now. Was nice to be able to buy it and pick it up with no shipping. Too good to be true. LOL
