  1. how long had it been since you made the soap? it usually takes a day or two before it turns back into the real FO I find. maybe give it some time then judge
  2. that is odd the one didn't move fast at all for me I used the BCN version in fact I think they put it in the CP soap kit because it tends not to speed things up which is what they want for those new to cp soap making. were you doing a discount? using warm oils? maybe something else was acting up.
  3. I have used the one from genwax.com that was actually one of the first scents I ever used when I learned how to make candles. Now like 6+ years later I can still smell those two small candles I never burned them. Sucks to hear if they have changed that FO over the years. I should smell it again next time I am in the store.
  4. I always figured it was a vanilla mixed in to make the brulee I think you could use the cream brulee, try the q-tip tests to see what it comes out like that scent is one of my best sellers, my people love the coffee scents hey have you tried their Turkish Hazelnut Cafe in the closeouts yet? that one has been a big hit
  5. wow those are really cool I think they came out just fine
  6. wow those are cool I have like zero girl make up skills even if I tried that is just what someone like me needs
  7. ha I should try that out I am sure I have a black light in some closet somewhere in my place.
  8. maybe you can sit out in the parking lot of a few of the places you are looking at. Watch how many people come and go during the week, evenings and weekends. I hope to one day have a store too but that is a long term goal for me. good luck! at least you can always say you went after your dream
  9. I haven't noticed a problem I had one person who noticed grits in my Vanilla Stabilizer BCN pink sugar bar, but I noticed after I made that batch and shipped out that my pink sugar FO actually had crystals in the bottom of it. Some extra exfoliation I guess but I have used it in many other bars so far with good luck
  10. OMG!! I didn't even notice that till you said something
  11. ICS Black Raspberry Vanilla, activated charcoal, southern soapers shrieking violet oxide, BCN rainbow blue mica. set up a tad faster then I wanted so the plan in my head didn't work out 100% but still came out cool looking. if you flip the bars over the other side looks totally different
  12. welcome back! great way to start back into the swing of things
  13. I have heard a number of people do sell lots of things with the leather FO I live in the city so it isn't very popular here but I can see the appeal of that scent in more "country" areas
  14. great just like normal thanks for posting the pics for us to see
  15. do you have a cut picture of this one yet?
  16. this one did catch my interest after reading the post yesterday nice to hear good reports
  17. the soap doesn't smell good the first day or so but after that it turns right into the correct scent. I myself haven't really noticed a change over time in the scents. I have only used it in cp soap myself. You should try out a batch of soap with it and see what you think.
  18. check for a Kelly Paper store or Xpedx store they are both great paper stores and have tons to pick from you can usually pick up a few single sheets to take home and test, most of the time they give them to you for free(if you don't get a ton of them) or at the worst they may charge you .25 a sheet. that is a good way to figure out what will work for you without putting money out for a whole pack of paper.
  19. I love the Vanilla Stabilizer! The soaps that I use it in never really shift colors and the scents stay true. I pretty much put it in any batch I think might turn, I would rather not have brown soap if I can help it. Unless I am going for a slightly more natural look that is
  20. can't remember if I showed the Banana Cream Pie soap or not so I am showing it just in case BCN Banana Cream Pie with Vanilla Stabilizer, BC yellow gel tone and Souther Soapers Black Oxide. This one set up way faster then I wanted so the top didn't come out like I had planned but heck it smells great so that works for me. next up is Lavender Blossom from Genwax, with BC lavender gel tone, southern soapers shrieking violet oxide and ground lavender.
  21. at the Bittercreek convention a talk was given about doing Fundraisers and this is the sample pack they sent out looks really professional and easy to transport it is under packaging, then display tubes it is called pTubeT - Clear Tealight Display Tube w/Cap they would just put a deposit for the sample pack or charge the order if it didn't come back just another idea
  22. ok now these really really rock! love them! I saw some in a swap I just did that had whipped tops and now your swirl ones mine look so boring now, lol time to work on mine
