  1. where did you get them from? I sure don't want to order from them!
  2. This customer actually ordered online and is a first time customer. I'm not sure what she is doing with these melts, but I did tell her to mail them back to me. I also told her I would give her a full refund and pay for the return postage once I receive the melts. So far I have not received them!
  3. OMG they must be married! I still haven't replied to her last e-mail. I'll do that Monday after I've had time to think of a response that doesn't imply that she a bit of an idiot but to enlighten her on how to use melts.
  4. I'm not sure what to think about this customer! I sold her some soy melts last week and I received a e-mail yesterday that she couldn't smell the melts. I told her to leave for a bit and come back and see if she could smell it then. I also told her if she couldn't smell them I would either send another her choice of scent at no cost or give a refund. I just received this e-mail from her this afternoon. "Hi, I think something is wrong with the soy or something. I have had it melting for 3 days now and when I just looked at them the wax had all hardened and was all around the outside. The middle had nothing in it (dry). I am sorry for all the trouble. I so love the melts. I will send them all back Tuesday." Now I have never thought someone would leave their melts warming for three days and I have never had my soy do as she described, but...I have never kept my melts warming for three days! She did say in her first e-mail that she has always purchased Scentsy but thought she would try soy.
  5. I'm getting ready to make a decent size order with Peaks so I contacted them the other day to see if they had any coupons. I was told that they are in the process of switching warehouses and won't be sending out any newsletters until that is done and they did not send out a newsletter for April. Hopefully it won't be much longer.
  6. I've looked at my Walmart and they don't carry it here. I can at times find it in one of my local grocery stores (We have 4), I shop a lot on amazon.com so I looked there and to my surprise they carried canned goat milk. We will be getting a super walmart towards the end of this year so maybe they will carry it there and hopefully coconut oil.
  7. It's the Meyenberg brand. Here's the link (I hope it works) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EY5COG/ref=s9_simh_gw_p325_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=0WYSTQNKRC12XJQY1EC0&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846
  8. I use the canned goats milk for my soap and it makes a wonderful creamy bar of soap and it's easy to store. I also have a hard time finding it locally. I now purchase it at amazon.com for about $37 for a case of 12 and I receive free shipping!
  9. I have a Caravan Canopy that I use at my farmers market. My husband also can't help me because of his work and my son is busy a lot of Saturdays so I have to do it myself. This canopy is easy and fast to put up! I do suggest to practice before you take it out the first time to use it. The one thing that I will say is that the Velcro on the sidewalls are crap and the zippers broke in no time! I had my husband put grommets where the velcro is and I bungee cord them on the frame. That works a lot better then the velcro!
  10. Candles and Supplies has blueberry molds so you can make your own. Here's the link http://newcart.candlesandsupplies.com/Store/Products/Candles/PID-RM-BB.aspx hope this helps!
  11. Oh my, I feel stupid. I should have been able to figure that one out myself! Ok, Here it goes. Easy Votive Flowers These are incredibly fast and easy to make! They are great for fundraisers, quick gifts or favors for wedding or baby showers. Supplies Needed: Votive Size Flower Candle Floral Tape Silk Rose Leaves 9” Square or Round Piece of Tulle Plastic Sticks & Cups Scissors STEP 1 Gather your materials and prepare your work area. STEP 2 Insert stick into the plastic cup. STEP 3 Place votive on top of the cup. Center the piece of tulle over the votive flower and pull down over the sides of flower to the stem. Twist the tulle around the stick so that the candle will be held in place and the extra tulle will become part of your stem. STEP 4 Starting at the top of the stick below the votive flower, wrap the floral tape tightly around the tulle to create your flower stem. Gradually work your way down the tulle onto the stick. STEP 5 When you are about 2” down from the cup, hold your first leaf against the stick and wrap the floral tape around stick and leaf wire. Place your second leaf about 1” below the first leaf and wrap both leaf wires and the stick. STEP 6 Continue wrapping floral tape all the way down the stick. When at the end cut with scissors, and wrap the remainder of the floral tape on the stick. ** Selling Tip ** Keep business cards with a message printed on the back “Happy Birthday”, etc. for customers to sign for a quick gift! And they are easy. Unfortunately the cut and paste didn't copy the pretty pictures I have for an illustration which made it a lot easier for me. I hope this helps. Oh, the one thing I didn't like though was that the weight of the votives made the balloon stick bend a bit. so I think maybe using a dowel as OverSoyed suggested would do the trick.
  12. I have the step by step instructions, but it's a pdf file and I don't know how to attach it here. Send me an e-mail address and I can attach the file and send it to you that way.
  13. Once, a long time ago, my ex-husband and I had left some cat fish in the truck of our car during a hot SC summer. We had forgotten about them for about a week, when we noticed an awful smell in the car! The smell was so bad, I thought I would never get the odor out. I ended up putting a good layer of baking soda in the truck and I let it set a few days before I vacuumed it out. I had to do this a few times, but it did work. So, if I can get out old dead cat fish smell, I'm sure you can get out a good smell. I would put the lids in a bowl, put some baking soda on them and put the lid on.

  16. I also do a buy 4 get 1 free and it works for me also.
  17. I sell the plug-in warmers also from Levines. I have had a few customers tell me that their units stopped working. It took me a while to figure it out, but...sometimes wax gets down in the area where the light bulb twistes in. I now have them to try and gently clean that area out with a Q-tip or something similar, paying particlar attention to the copper looking thingys inside. This has worked every time! After they clean out the unit, it works!
  18. I use one of those over the door plastic shoe storage holders that I got at Walmart. I put a different size wick in each of the slots. Saves space and I always know where my wicks are.
  19. Oh my, I may know your parents! How long have they lived here? I'm not sure why my GM soap was soft, but as time goes by it is hardening up. I didn't do any discounting. I used the same amount of liquid whether it was GM or water. I wanted to see how the soap would differ using the same exact ingredients but using different methods. So far it has turned out to be an interesting experment. I'm going to leave the HP along for right now. My HP soap gave a whole new meaning to the word ugly I'm going to be tweaking my recipe that I used and make CP GM soap and just plain soap.
  20. I'm hand milling the soap just to see how it would look and what it would do. I'm in the testing stage of things and i do like to expriement that way I've seen how it works. Some of the soap I will let fully cure and not hand mill. I hand milled some of the goats milk soap and liked how it looked, just waiting for it to dry. I used 8 oz soap and 6 oz distilled water. It seemed to be very wet though so I'm going to try again using a different amount of water. The HP soap I hand milled is just a big mess, it totally defines the word ugly! I'll try again. I know this will be a long process before any of it's good enough to sell. I've done a lot of research and now it's time to wet my feet and get some soap on them! I've been wanting to do this for a while and I had soooo much fun making my soap. thanks you all for your info! I was just a little confused about what the melt and pour soaps where. How would you know if the melt and pour is a soap and not a detergent. Does the supplier tell you or can you tell by the ingredients?
