I am trying out a 16oz Lucida jar with a CD-20 wick and 4627 blend wax but are having a problem with the wax not completely melting. Is this jar working for any one else? If so, in what combination of wax and wick? I'm think I might have to double wick this one. Thanks for advice. Lance www.Oldetownecandleco.com

Honey Cornbread smells good to me but my wife does not like it that much. The Sweet Cornbread smells like leather when put in wax and does not smell good at all. I guess I will try the Backwoods Pumpkin Cornbread. www.oldetownecandleco.com

Just a heads up anyone that uses the melting pot jar, the Jar Store is permanently sold out of the 16oz Melting Pot jars. I found a 12 oz cascade jar made by Libbey Glass This jar is the same style jar as the melting pot sold by the Jar Store. The metal lid from the 9oz even fits on the jar. With that said I am not sure why the Jar store is discontinuing this jar style...I do know that my wife and I are not happy about this whole situation. :angry2:Any leads on where to get a 16 oz cascade jar from? www.oldetownecandleco.com

NG is where my wife and I get most of our FO. The Cherry Bomb they sell is got to be the strongest FO in the world but smells sooo good. It burns my nose when poured into the wax. It is so strong my wife refuses to make it. www.oldetownecandleco.com

Hi Kimmeroo, I use CD 14 for the 9oz and CD 18 for the 16oz in the 4627 comfort blend. I am not sure if you are aware but the Jar Store is going to discontinue that jar style. I recycle a few jars from some folks at work to cut them a little break on price. The only problem is the scent from the old candle stays in the lid. Does anyone know a way to neutralize the sent in the lid so it can be reused? I use a metal lid with a plastic ring inside? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Getting ready to do a fund raiser and the group requested a cornbread or corn muffin scent for one of the candles they want to offer. I have looked at my usual suppliers but no luck. msalex28a, the Jar Store is going to carry only jars made by Libby glass. I talked to the sales representative Paula, and she said there was an issue with that jar mold and the old supplier in China. I am not sure what the problem was but I know it stinks because I really like that jar style with the black lid. I will check with TVG. Thanks for the tip funkymonkey66.

We use a number of there FO. They have great customer service and quick shipping. One scent that I would not recommend is there Pumpkin pie it smells very bad. The Funny thing is that there pumpkin crunch cake is really good. Also there pineapple upside down cake is GREAT!
