  1. The website kind of reminds me of Taylored Concepts. I have also never ordered from Starville but I did order from Taylored Concepts. But if I remember right Taylored Concepts was owned by Robert? not a Mike.
  2. I'm not sure how he got my e-mail address. I'm sure I've not signed up for any e-mails or newsletters!
  3. I received an e-mail today from Mike's Fragrances N More. I'm really really sure that I've never signed up to receive e-mails or newsletters from this guy. Anyone ever heard of him?
  4. Thank you, I'll go check it out today. I'm glad that they come unfinished as my colors are purple and hunter green. I'm sure that black would look great, but I like the option of making it my own!
  5. I always love to watch your videos. You do such nice work! Your Chalkboard shelves looks as if they fold, where did you get them if I may ask? I also love the chalkboard idea and would like a display that not only looks nice but is easy to put up and take down.
  6. I'm asked all the time about who my suppliers are and how to do this and that. The only thing I tell people is to "Google it". I've done my own research and they can do their own!
  7. I did all the deductions possible including a portion of my property taxes, my electric bill etc. I just couldn't find any more deductions! I even purchased four stainless steel tables and two 72" tall stainless steel wire racks, bought a bunch of oils and loaded up on wax. I just plain made a profit last year and this year so far is starting off well, so maybe I'll get to quit my day job sometime in the future.
  8. Thank you guys! I figure that of all the hours I have worked for these past few years, I may have made .01 an hour. But I have finally made a profit and I'm very happy with that and the joy that I get when I'm doing my craft is absolutely priceless!
  9. I started my candle/soap making business in 2008. The first few years I lost money, then for a few years I broke even. Now I have finally made a small profit!:yay: I actually have to pay Social Security/Medicare taxes this year on my business income:laugh2:
  10. You know, she may not of even did much testing! She might of just melted, wicked and poured!
  11. Are these what you need? http://www.bayousome.com/malibu.htm
  12. My picture has been removed along with several others! I'm glad I didn't have to pursue this any further and this company deleted the pictures on their own without a whole bunch of hassle.
  13. I wrote on their facebook page asking them to remove my photo. We'll see if that works! If not I'll have to get really mean!
  14. Your right some of their other photo's aren't THEIRS! Guess I need to send a message also! Thanks for posting this.
  15. Google "Blousing Straps" or follow this link: http://www.amazon.com/Black-Elastic-Blousing-Garters-Set/dp/B001022G2C/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1358215959&sr=8-2&keywords=blousing+straps
  16. The farmer's market that I have been selling at for several years only allows "handmade". I would have some customers that didn't have a votive container to burn votives in, so......in order to sell them a glass votive holder, I made some of the votives in the little glass votive holders and sold them that way. I would tell those few customers that didn't have votive holders that they could reuse the containers of the little candles to burn their votives. Had a sell and didn't break any rules!
  17. I like Lavender Breeze, that would be a great summertime name. Lavender Ice in the winter, Lavender Breeze in the summer.
  18. Votive candles need a tight fitting votive holder. They aren't designed to be a stand alone candle like a pillar.
  19. I received this today. I have "statcounter" installed on my website so that I can see where my hits are from. When I went to my account with statcounter, I saw that this person was actually from Lagos, Nigeria. I ,of course, didn't reply and quickly deleted it. I seem to be getting more and more of this type of request. If this person really had looked at my website, he or she would of known my prices and could pay online as well.
  20. I use two pots. Large and small. I mix in the large pot and then pour a small amount into the small pot. I then pour into my containers from the small pot which is lighter and I have more control. I refill the smaller pot from the larger pot as needed. This has worked well for me.
