  1. Yum! I love BS&F Love the white soap. Hope it doesn't discolor. Let us know please I had a terrible experience with SC version too. It ended up in the trash can. I just ordered a sample from Solas. Can't wait for it to arrive.
  2. Congrats on a successful day. Enjoy your rum & coke and the soak in the tub. Hope tomorrow will be a big hit for you too.
  3. Great looking soap!! Swirls look great. I'm really glad you like the mold.
  4. Great looking swirls! And I love the color choice. Can't wait to see the cut pics.
  5. Beautiful swirls!!!!!! The dark mood is working for you. Now, hurry up and get the cut pics posted.
  6. Congrats on your first batch of soap!! Looking forward to the cut pics.
  7. Thanks all! The bars that I have tried to cut so far look horrible. Looks like I had a few too many before grabbing the soap knife. It is expensive but would save so much time on cutting. I have never regretted buying the log cutter. I have a 24 bar Upland so I know it will fit my mold. Hmmm, maybe I'll think it over a while.
  8. Anyone have one of these? If so, how do you like it? Is it worth the money? Is it user friendly? I have the hobby grade log cutter already and LOVE IT! I've just starting using slab molds and cutting is a pain in the butt! Any input would be greatly appreciated. http://www.forcraftssake.mainsecure.net/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7_21&products_id=27
  9. I hear ya girl.....I've made 2 batches and they are both FLAT!!!!! Thinking I should have tried them first and then signed up for a swap.
  10. Fabulous soaps! The in the mold swirls are great and the cut soaps look good enough to eat.
  11. Great soaps Michi! You are the M&P queen.
  12. The soap looks great! And I love the stamp with the mica. SW Olive Blossom is such a nice scent. Although now, I have to make a plan B for my swap soap. Let me go see what else I have cured on the soap shelves. :tiptoe:
  13. Those look great! The scent sounds yummy. I made my first batch Monday evening. They looked great at first but when I got up the next morning they were flat like pancakes.
  14. For me it was whipped body butters, handmade soap and then lip balms. Scrubs were working their way up the list pretty fast. When the time arrives that I am able to reopen my business, I plan to keep it simple. These four products will be all I offer at first and thinking I may not carry the lip balms either. Oh well, time will tell.
  15. Not yet but I'm hoping dh will try to cut slits in one of them for me. He made 3 so even if it doesn't work out I'll still have 2.
  16. Fabulous soap! I love a pure white soap and the chamomile tea really adds to the look.
  17. Inside measurements! That's the size the soap slab will be.
  18. My DH made my slab molds 14" x 10" x 2" The recipe I use is for 4lbs. of oils which gives me 16 bars (3.5"x2.5"x1+") each. I think they weigh an average of 4oz. or so per bar. This does not fill the mold to capicity but gives me the size bar that I prefer. HTH You can also use the length x width x height x .4 = (amount of oils needed to fill the mold)
  19. Looking good! I love the colors.
  20. Fabulous colors! I can't wait to see the cut pics.
  21. All I can say about the Vanilla Spice is Yummy! It looks good enough to eat. Like fudge brownies with cream cheese frosting drizzled with chocolate. All of your soaps look great. Way to go!
  22. Thanks all for the positive comments about my soaps. I've really enjoyed making them and Olive Blossom is a lovely scent and has stayed strong so far @ .8oz pp
