  1. Thanks Cyber, I also appreciate your input. It's interesting to know how the words of our languages differ. I appreciate everyone's help cause I'm really struggling with trying to come up with a name. You've all given me some great ones to consider. Thanks
  2. Hmm, House Of Bull - Not exactly what I was going for. Cyber, do tell, what does Mystic Glow mean? The only reason I am thinking of changing the name of my business is because there is already another business by this name. Not in my state but they do have a website and more than one of my customers have commented on all the new products I have that they didn't know about or what happened to their favorite scent? They are finding the other site on the web thinking it's me. I just thought by using my kids names or a combination of them that I MIGHT be able to come up with something unique. Back to the drawing board.
  3. Got some great ideas. Keep them coming. Never thought about "Alyssa Andrews" as if it were a last name. Hmm, might have to give it more thought. And Scented, girl, we've already covered the having a kid thing. Not happening!!! I might consider borrowing one. My dh's name has a N, that might work.
  4. I am so guilty of this one. :rolleyes2 Another possible sign - You might be a FOHO if .... ..your family disappers every time they see you tearing into a box marked Scent Works. Or they boldy proclaim as you walk toward them with FO in hand, "Mom, I have a stuffy nose." :rolleyes2
  5. That is so NOT going to happen!!!!!!!!! My kids are 13 and 17 and there is no way I would want to start over at this point. You're right it is late and so I'm off to bed.
  6. The original name was Mystic Glow. Here's a few names I've been thinking about...... keeping it simple.. Andrew & Alyssa (Candles, Gifts and Bath & Body) << or some variation ..two different names for two different products may be too much though Alyssa Bath & Body Candles by Casey OR Casey's Candles Andrew's Home Fragrance Hmm, maybe my brain isn't working so good. I need to think on this a while.
  7. .... I am working towards the eventual re-open of my business. I have decided to change the name and create a new image. I am working on my much smaller product line and the design of a new logo and labels. Before the time arrives to re-open I intend to have everything in place. Logo, labels, website, etc.....Now the problem is I can't come up with a name. I've thought about trying to use my kids names in some way but not sure if that is too cheesy. Thought about using Twelve Oaks (the street I live on) but too many companies with that name already. I want something upscale but not snooty. :Dand I'm not into the Prim theme. I know there are lots of really creative folks here and I hope someone can inspire me. Please???? Just in case...my kids names are Andrew Casey Alyssa Tori
  8. I can totally relate to how you are feeling. I struggled with the same issues. Full time job, at home business with 4 employees, 2 teenagers and trying to grow my candle and B&B biz just about drove me nuts. (Not that I had that far to go anyway. ) I made the difficult decision to close the business down for the time being. I still make things for a few close friends and family. I've had the opportunity to create things that seemed to stay on the back burner because I never had any free time. The thing that I loved to do became something that I dreaded "having" to do. I actually had the time to pour my first pillar candle this weekend. I'm still working on perfecting my craft, downsizing my product line and creating a new image for when I do re-open. And I have every intention of doing so. And I'm having fun with it again. Sometimes you just have to take a break and breathe. Step back and re-evaluate the situation. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
  9. My vote is for the Bell Bottle. Love the labels too. :highfive:
  10. All I can say is It looks good enough to eat and I'm sure it smells divine. You did a great job.
  11. I love Ambra del Nepal I have a sample of the Tonic but haven't used it yet. I've never used any of the others that you have listed. But I have been happy with everything from SW. Well, except for Polo Black. Smells great but riced on me and got so thick so fast that I had to spread it into the mold. Cut it this morning and it looks like sh**. On the up side, Be Delicious soaped like a dream. P.S. Would love some soap. LOL!!
  12. They both look great but the Rosemary mint is just lovely. :highfive:
