  1. It goes on the main water valve from your hot water heater / cold output (if that makes any sense). It's like a huge Brita (about the size of a 1/2 gallon of milk) for your water system.
  2. They have systems that hook into your water tank... I believe they run about $200ish? The shower heads are also a good idea. Jonathan Antin (from Bravo's Blow Out) invented on. They sell them at Sephora for $90. http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml;jsessionid=FGPDPVDXXHTUACV0KQNRXCQ?id=P121807&cm_mmc=us_search-_-GG-_-br%20jonp-_-Jonathan%20Shower%20Head&_requestid=141461
  3. If it's a week-to-week deal... I'd give it more time. But if you have to get a spot of the whole season, I'd think about the likelihood of higher traffic before signing on the dotted line.
  4. It's been quite some time... probably 2 years or more. If that's the case, I'd highly suggest it.
  5. I think they even have a premium that allows more functions for only a few dollars a year. I used them with earlier sites I've built, and they do what you need them to do. If you want a basic counter just to see how many people are accessing, go with them. Unless you want to track cookies and all that jazz!
  6. My bathroom is "oceany," so I have Sea Breeze in there now... but I am just using them to get rid of them. Makes me feel like I'm on a bad vacation!
  7. Thanks for the input! Yes, I'm sure I don't sell yet... yes, the site is active, and the cart appears to be, but its not... any transaction that is attempted to be processed comes in null. Even for "Some Guy... In Some Town" :undecided
  8. So I just realized that I said "boughten!" Not something you hear everyday, but is grammatically correct! So much for posting threads at 3am.
  9. I was never one for fresh scents. Sea breeze and so on... blah. I'm a foodie... I'll take cinnamon buns over clean cotton anyday!
  10. I respect everyone on here... I believe I said that. I am still learning, and have A LOT to learn. I may be putting the cart before the horse... but thats me. I like to have things in place so when things are ready to proceed... they can.
  11. I agree about being better than the rest. 9 out of 10 candles I buy in the market are crap, price wise and throw. I got a Yankee for Christmas, and it sucks. I never understood why anyone is willing to spend $20-30 for something that doing burn properly. I have had to push the sides down at least 10 times already. The main reason for my original post was the mechanics of the repour. Perhaps I should have made that more clear. Whether the repour on a votive specifically has anything to do with proper burning.
  12. Well... if no one cares about it... then why are you making such a big deal about it. As for our heads being photoshopped... LOL... why would I waste time putting our head on someone elses body? :undecided
  13. Statcounter works fairly well as a free product.
  14. :undecided Who is stuffing anything down anyones throat?
  15. That's totally fine... just posing an observation. I've been browsing the forum for months and months now, and I realize that it is an honored craft, that takes time, patience, and creativity, and I admire you all for such. Just because my site is in place, doesn't mean I am going to start accepting orders. I haven't begun marketing for the site yet, and have yet to submit the site for search engines. I know the severity of having a quality product before entering the market place, and I believe I said many times, I will not sell until everything is 100% On a side note... one thing that I love about this forum is the fact that everyone for the most part is very uplifting towards others work. However, I've noticed in recent days for some reason, a lot of people are too quick to judge, especially with the newbies. It's almost as if saying... "we've been doing this for a lot longer than you have, don't even try to think you are better!" It tends to make people standoffish towards trying the craft out.
  16. Not mad at all... LOL... unfortunately.... times haven't completely changed! It's like the old add-age.... A father and his son were in a car accident. The father died. The son was taken to the hospital. The doctor came in and said: I can't do surgery on him, because he's my son. Who was the doctor?
  17. I've seen many national companies with the "sunken look" and they seem to work fine.
  18. As I stated before, I will NOT sell any candles until they are tested.
  19. Go to any soy website, and the why soys are basically the same.
  20. We'll be doing jars and votives this week. Yes, everything will be properly tested prior to any shipments being sent out. Nothing worries me more than having a faulty candle. I have had some bad experiences with some cheapo candles in the past, and would never want to ruin my reputation in the business world by selling a product that wasn't 100% safe! Jars I most likely repour. As for votives... I REALLY like the sunk in effect. I have a lot of votives around the house that I never burn, so the extra lil bit of "umph" (haha) would look nice. OH... and thanks for the kind words about the site. It is just a prototype for the moment, and will improve with age like a fine wine! I've been a web/graphic designer for over 10 yrs. I absolutely love letting my creative juices flow! Tristan
  21. I'd imagine there wouldn't be an affect due to the fact that is how it is sold in the store (in a clear bag that is). But that does raise a good question...
