  1. Looking for a wholesaler for these. Anyone know of one that sells this sort of stuff wholesale. Looking for recloseable zip lock style 4 X 6 bags. There was a packaging company of some type that sent me a catalog once but i can't recall who it was and I know they had them.
  2. I am looking for a wholesale supplier of the bungy style jewlery cord I guess it's called. I got some for my aroma ornies at Walmart a while back and it was in the jewlery making section. I'm wanting the stretchable cord versus ribbon. I don't know exactly how to explain what I'm looking for but I checked Hobby lobby and they don't seem to have what I'm wanting. Anyone know a wholesale supplier? Thanks in advance.
  3. Watch out candle maker (whomever it was)....idiots like that are the type that want to sue the manufacturer for their (consumer's) own mistakes....another good reason to carry insurance. You never know when an idiot like that will be buying a product. If someone can get money for spilling hot coffee just cus the cup wasn't labeled as "hot" who knows what else they will sue for!!
  4. I told her that I doubted I could find it but i did a search on fragrance oil finder site and there came up 3 places carrying a similar fragrance but the customer isn't of much help when she can't give me much of a description of the scent other than she thought it had some gingerbread and spice in it and was called Welcome Home. I may get a sample of one of the three that I found, maybe from Just by Nature since they are closest to me and thus lower shipping that way I can see.
  5. I am looking for a dupe of the scent Welcome Home from Dreamers Candles. Not sure the description of the scent from Dreamers but a customer has requested this. Anyone know of a good dupe?
  6. I have a big order for northwoods that candles and supplies use to carry but not longer does. The description for it was: "a clean and fresh summer breeze combines with the delicate green of lacy maidenhair ferns, crushed pine needles and loamy Earth." I have found Northwoods Christmas from BCN and its description is "Our own special blend of Fresh Wintry Balsam Pine & Lightly Spiced Cranberry. Surprisingly pleasant and refreshing, puts an exciting new twist on pine!" My question is.......do those sound similar enough. Customer has yet to "sniff/smell" the Northwoods so if these sound similar enough I could easily substitute at this point.......only after testing it of course. Anyone know? Opinions please......... thanks NOTE: After writing this post, I did another search on fragrance oil finder and it seems I can find almost the exact same fragrance oil description on another site. I'm ordering samples from both BCN and the other site to try first. Thankfully this is a tart order.
  7. I'm about to do a search on this to see what I can find as well, but I was wondering when it comes to fundraiser brochures and order forms, where do you get them printed so they look more professional? Who designs them? I have one designed that I have used a few times but I believe it would look more professional if I paid someone with design experience to tweak it for me and if I had them professionally printed somewhere. That way I can compete more with the other fundraisers out there. Also, how do you do shipping on fundraisers? I have a fundraiser on the other side of the state (Texas) and shipping will be required. Free shipping would cut way into profits so I was thinking of adding a flat fee per customer order or a few bucks onto the cost of the products to help cover shipping as well as the cost of the brochures. How does everyone else do this. I would appreicate referrals to places to look and any suggestions. Thanks.
  8. Can someone tell me where to purchase the portion cups?
  9. Bought mine from Sam's. May try an office supply store too though.
  10. Another Designer 218 user and fan here too. She's great. Helped me set up my site and is always willing to help with anything I need. Even responded back to me over a weekend. That's not found much anymore. I was surprised. I have been very happy with Mandi and wouldn't change a thing.
  11. Recommendations for fragrance oils. Some of their oils sound great to me but any recommendations on them? Thanks. NOTE: I started a new thread because I tried doing a search but got the following result: You don't have permission to access /forums/showthread.php on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request If a moderator knows what may be causing this, please let me know. I reset cookies, signed out and back in so that's not the issue.
  12. No sales here for these either. Been there and done tried that. A few wholesale orders was about all I got on those and a few sold at shows when I clearanced them. Thus, I suppose, it all depends upon the area you are in.
  13. Well, I never really quit, but have cut way back...no shows for me this year or in the near future. Sent a PM to ya
  14. Let us know how you like the scents you bought.
  15. Looking at ordering a few samples from here to try. anyone have any experience buying from Starville? If so, what are some good fragrances?
  16. I just bought some of Just Scent's to try...anyone tried theirs?
  17. Anyone ever try the himalayan bamboo? I'm wondering if it's similar to the Simple Home editions (yank** candle) Bamboo scent. I'd hate to spend 4.80 just to ship one sample if it's not what I'm looking for. I don't need anything else from CS right now.
  18. I probably will order a sample then to see. Thanks for the heads up.
  19. Same here but then again.......candles aren't considered a neccessity to survival right now. I still get orders but they are for air fresheners and votives with are cheaper. Everyone is feeling the impact in some way.
  20. Candles and Supplies no longer carries this. Thanks to fellow board members here I was able to find some but was wanting to know if anyone knew a supplier that carries it or something similar. Candle and Suplies description was "A clean and fresh summer breeze combined with the delicate green of lacy Maidenhair ferns, crushed pine needles and loamy Earth to create a fresh outdoor woodland fragrance". It may be named something different on another supplier site so I am asking here. Seems since I renamed it, I can't keep enough of it on hand. Thanks for any replies.
  21. It may make it easier for us to respond if you tell us what you make whether it's candles, soap, lotion, B&B products, etc. My first thought though if you are doing candles is that Yankee and Bath and Body Works both already sell candles. You want your product to stand out from the rest.
  22. There are a lot of scammers and scam artists out there looking for product so you have to scan your emails closely (I personally delete those types and never respond). Con artists are out there looking for business too. It's a very competitive business. That candle dye doesn't come off of lynoleum floors. That gardenia and sex on the beach can set off my migraines. And oh, don't forget, you can't satisfy everyone.
  23. Don't know who your supplier is normally but BCS has 8 oz JJ in stock according to their website.
  24. I second Designer 218. Mandi is great. She's helped me anytime I needed help and set up items that I had trouble setting up. I have a drop down option for scents as well. I use Mal's for checkout and then have Auction Inc that helps figure UPS shipping, fed ex, your personal handling fees (if any) etc. Auction Inc is compatible with Mal's and is 14.95 quarterly. http://www.auctioninc.com/info/page/shipping_calculator Not too bad but I'm sure there are some free calculators out there as well. I just happened to find and be satisfied with this one so I'm sticking with it.
