I just recently tried one from one of those soapers out there. I have to say this: First off, the topping doesn't really melt. It gets gloopy like. But that's it. I did not get any infection, but then again, never have. Not sure about those prone to them. But the one I received said to remove the top if you like and then drop the solid bubblebath in the tub under running water. I would think that if you are prone to them or have an issue with using food products in a large bath of water (probably minute amount since there is so much water?, it was for me) then one wouldn't use them. JMO

Daystar's mint Angel smells exactly like a candy cane to me. My understanding on blending for the candy cane was vanilla, peppermint and strawberry.

Do they test ant of their fo's in any b&b products themselves or are they like bear labs and gemlite, where they have no real clue if it is skin safe or not? I'm a bit leary to buy fo's that are that cheap. But I guess if you are using them for candles, why not.

I tried the one from backwoods, it's not the same imo. Although similar, it doesn't have that buttery note that LLC has. The one soapsilly wholesale supplies carries is dead on and better imo. They just had a sale too, 20% off. I think it ended already. After the bad cs from sw's, I started looking elsewhere for all my fo's.

I actually ordered some before, can't remember who from. It was thick, really thick. I guess it would depend on you. How thick or thin you want it to be.

I guess that falls into the same category as the infamous "soapmaker" declaring how her soaps are cut and the toppings being original to her. I've seen them done that way before her.:rolleyes2 As far as the "cupcake queen" goes, I've seen those post by her. She was complaining about her images being stolen, not being copied from what I recall. I'd be complaining about that too if mine were being stolen.:rolleyes2 Thanks for sharing the recipe!

I'm actually a member of both groups. I do not recall the other supplier ranting and raving, she did comment on it because the other supplier was brining it out into the open. I do recall ss discussing it on her yahoo group. If you go to her group now, she has deleted all those posts to cover her tracks. I didn't see any bitches/issues anywhere with this. If you don't want to see it, don't read it. As far as SS goes, I too have had good service. But with all this stuff going on, I stopped ordering from them. I won't order from people that think they own rights to names that other companies have used long before them. There are plenty of other suppliers out there, without the drama.

I make a body scrub out of cocoa absolute. I use organic cocoa powder for a face mask. I use undeodorized cocoa butter in a body cream, lip balm and my body scrub. I have a whole line of chocolate products, even a chocolate scented candle.

I don't make any m&p any longer (it's been years). But SFIC and Stephenson make great bases. BB carries Stephenson.

Tonic (SW's), Clementine Lavender (Soapsilly), OMH(Soap Silly), Bulgarian Lavender eo, Homespun Sugar (Bittercreek). I could go on and on.

Sweet Pumpkin from Soap Silly. It is TDF and sold extremely well in candles last year. Their Pumpkin Spice Frapp is awesome too!

I've only ordered from Soap Silly and Daystar. Both are the same IMO. It makes an excellent blender with Daystar Ambr del Nepal.

In regards to it being toasty or not, it's not toasty and that's why I like it. In what application did I use it in? J50 wax. I also used it in lotion and bath bombs. I personally have yet to have any problems with getting my orders in a timely manner. For one they ship via fedex so that does take about 4 days to get to me. I don't know if you are part of their yahoo group, but they are really good about posting there TAT. Right now I think it's 5-7 days as they just had free shipping last week. Anyhow, as far as toasty goes, I like ky's.

I've ordered from them in the past. But only a couple fo's They have the best parsley water.
