  1. Coupon is for when AngelaVA starts her law practice.
  2. I love the name and the logo!
  3. ...you've just placed an order for something then two weeks later it goes on sale? I placed an order for wicks from Candlewic and now their standard wick assemblies are on SALE! :embarasse Oh well, I guess it means I have to order more.
  4. Dixiegal, I am partial to bakery-scented candles. Do these have good hot throw?
  5. They're B&B forums. www.soapdishforum.com www.the-whisk.us
  6. You fill the container with wax, just like you were making a regular candle, except that it doesn't have a wick. Once it has set up, you poke a hole in the center with a skewer, stick the wick in (no tab), and heat gun it in place. Once that has set up again, you're ready to test. This tabless wick goes all the way to the bottom. Eventually, if you get all the way to the bottom testing this particular wick, it may fall over if there isn't enough solid wax left to hold it up. At this stage you should be fine because there would be maybe around 1/2" to 1" wax left.
  7. I tested the 444 initially with an 8% FO load, since I didn't know it could hold a maximum of 15%. Sure enough, the hot throw was lousy. I retested it using 12% FO and LOVED the throw but IMO, it's too much money to spend on FO.

  9. BCN's Eco wicks are coated with veggie wax. Northstar's wicks (www.northstar3c.com) are primed with BW (unless noted otherwise).
  10. Batana, In general, people who visit this forum do a lot of exploring-- they don't just stick to one section. So there's a very big chance that someone who read your previous post about CandleWealth in another section of this same forum will end up seeing this one as well. Same advice here -- you're better off buying a candle-making kit.
  11. Hey Henry, that's a very nice jar! Keeping fingers crossed for you.
  12. I vote for the black lid on JJ because it coordinates with the black lines of the label. And of course, gold on the salsa jar.

  14. What if you use the labels as such -- the one with the black stripe for the 8 oz JJ and the stripe-less (is this a word? ) label for the salsa jar? I feel that if you use the one with the black stripe on the salsa jar, it would kinda cut it in half and it's already a squat jar as it is. But then again it might be too much trouble to print two types of labels?
  15. You're welcome. And don't worry if you miss this sale since they have it every now and then.
  16. Yup, there's a sale going on now and ends July 31. You get 250 Premium Business Cards for free (just pay shipping). Other free stuff-- small magnets, note pads, brochures, etc. (Nope, I don't work for them )
  17. Kerry, What happens if you still use 4% BW in the winter? I'm thinking you'd get hairline cracks? Do the candles burn differently as well?
  18. Top, Your candles look really nice! Since I don't make pillars, would you sell me some?
  19. Yup, I agree. I was just playing around with my leftover sample.
  20. I tested 444 with 8% FO load (didn't get good throw) before I found out that it could hold up to 15%! So I retested with 12% Splendid Butter Pecan (MC) and the hot throw was awesome!
