  1. Tried The htp line awhile back and had some giid results. Tried a 104 htp in a 3 inch candle was ok. NEver did get around to tring out a 93. Im guessing that it would have worked ( fragrance was blueberry cheesecake from JS)
  2. Back in the day we used ms paint. The avery one is awesome. We use it for all of our labels now. And its free too!
  3. Been playing with 6006 in a 3 inch status jar. I am finding that a 44-20-18z wick is working well so well in fact looking to go a size smaller to see what that does. With other waxes ive been using up to a 51-32-18z. Finding it hard to believe but ive not found a scent yet that a 44-20-18z does not work well in. I have some fil-tecs that i wanted to try has anyone ever tried them in 6006? Just find it interesting that this wax burns so easily.
  4. The scent throw is amazing till the wick goes kaput. Really liking it. havent got around to playing with it a bit more maybe this weekend.
  5. Very interesting top. Its just odd as ive used over 100 fragrances playing around and in production and this is the only one this has ever happened with. Interesting dilema. Still tinkering with it. Overwicking it makes it burn longer but eventually it dies out too. oh well lotsa other cinnamons out there.
  6. Anyone using red hot cinnamon from candle science? Using 6% in 2 different waxes cbl 125 and 6006. Every wick burns well for about 15 mins then dyes down. Im thinking a clogged wick, as the wick itself is not totally burning away. HAve tried, HTp, ECO, fil tec, zinc.... and others. To test if it was the dye i melted several down and poured into a tin cup and it burnt fine so we can rule out the dye as the culprit. Gonna do another pour with less fragrance... bummer i really like this scent too.
  7. What about using a wick that has a higher rate of consumption? I pored a tested with csn 16, just to see. Theory is that if it consumes wax faster it will lower the melt pool faster and move heat lower. Getting itchy maybe i will try the HTP 1212 yet...
  8. Yogurt containers are pretty thin. You may have issues keeping the wax hot enough to work with but cool enough to not melt the containers. Make sure you put the container in a bowl or something to catch the wax if it melts.
  9. 44-20-18z, 44-32-18z, Htp 31 htp 41 htp 52, Cd 7, cd 8, lx 10 lx 12, 44-20-18c, Test Test Test. Sampler packs are the way to go.
  10. Im game to test them out. Will even pay for you to ship em to me.
  11. Ever tried htp in these? I poured one the other night so so results. Just poured another tonight only twisted the wick. Got bored with excel... lol The htp does not seem to be affected by the acidity of the wax. I tried a cd 14 with crappy results.
  12. So i was burning the ones that had weak hot throw today when a friend walks in and says "holy crap that smells good" I looked at him dumbfounded and sad what he said "the apples man that smells so good" I blew them out and handed them and the other ones i have issues with hot throw. Will have some results from his burns hopefully tommorow. I really just dont think im getting hot throw with several. Could be the oils or the candle nose monster..... Testing status JS cinnamon now, i tossed a 16 in there just to see. Burning good so far steady flame nice mp. That cinnamon is one of the best scents we have. Also anxiously awaiting the UPS man who has my CS scents woot woot!
  13. Using cd 14 in some. i think a cd 12 may work too. Using soy based dye chips. Hot throw ok so far. I want to light up the ones that cured the longest but thats gonna have to wait till tommorow. We use a flat keepsake jar lid. Makes a nice looking candle.
  14. Ok in a hurry so ill sum these pics up.... Yellow is vanilla, Brown Fudge browniw and orance mason is Pumpkin spice. ( all from Just scent 1 oz pp) All poured into non heated non washed jars.(seeing what happens) yellow one and lighter red/brown one are week old. gonna light them later. I make testers without wicks so i can change them out. Brown and orange are 2 days old. Red ones are apple pie from JS also.... 3 4 hour burns. Not a real strong scent compared to paraffin. Have more oils coming from candle science with a high soy rating... and a few from early american they say work well in soy. Will let ya know! Cinnamon ( one wick crack on top UNBURNED) was not heatgunned. The brown and orange one was. I know its a jumble but at least soy has her pics now! EDIT: Quick not im haveing NO frost anywhere on these ones.
  15. Thanks for the tip a "drop resistant" one would be great lol. Ive already went through 2, and the wife wont let me touch the "good" one with my record... lol
  16. I have some 16.... 12 and 10 's are on the way. I can send you some when they arrive late tommorow. You pay shipping. Shouldnt be more than 1.00 or so.
  17. What kind of dye are you using? I have found that liquid dyes ( maybe my brand) do not play nice with this wax. Sure they look fine for a day or 2 but them WHAM frosting and sidewall pull away. Dye chips ( soy based) do not cause this. I am not heating glass nor washing it and having good results. Some masons pull away but ALL the status jars ( dollar tree shelf) are not washed nor heated pouing at about 160. Occasionally a top is goofy but a zap withheat gun cures it and the tops look like glass. Not gonna pour any more till the CD12's come in they should be here tommorow. I have 10's coming too. I have some fil-tec ones to mess around with too but im not to keen on a non trimming wick. Will try to get some pics up later. Still havent made it to get another camera yet. i will just use the phone to take em.
  18. We are using the ecosoya xcel lol. Yes a CD 14 seems to be working as soon as more 12's get here im gonna try a few with that wick. The 14 is to big for seveal that i have tested. The HTP 83 is working for most fragrances so far but im a stickler for CD wicks.... Definately interested in your testing results!
  19. Sorry it has taken me so long to get back. Been toying with some palm wax.... anyways. I've found that a CD 14 works well in the status. I actually ordered more CD 12 to try out with a few frragrances. The HTP 83 and 104 perform about ats well as a CD 14. Stil want to bombard this wax with coor but like i said other things are priority. IVe not waited long before a test burn and have had excellent results with just about any fragrance ive tried. I have a few i made without wicks, the idea is to let mthem sit for a few months and see if any frosting or imperfections occur. I blasted this wax when i first got it but this versus C3.. i think the scales are tipping in the excel's favor ( for me)
  20. Colors look good! What size wick didyou decide on with the status jar? Im haveing good results with both HTP and CD.
