  1. Try a 44-32-18c that should be a good starting point. Is the wick drowning out? 9 what i mean is the flame staying a constant height)
  2. Different waxes do weigh different amounts. Maybe they were using a denser wax than what you are using. With our preblend wax we can fit 3 oz in a clamshell easilly.
  3. Better believe it shipping rates are on the rise all over. Most cases its not realyy the sellers fault. They simply get higher freight charges and someone has to pay them.
  4. We issue gift card at set levels of spending. Say somone spends 50.00 in total over a months time they would get a 5.00 credit. Anytime there is an issue the amount rewarded can be verified by looking at orders. Sounds confusing but thats the lack of sleep talking....
  5. Customer service is great! Havent used their fragrances in a few years but they use to be good.
  6. We mainly use fil-tec's 2.164 in a jar slightly larger. Of course we still use the old standby Zincs too. Been meaning to play with cd wicks too.
  7. Pesonally wood wicks are not a good seller for us. Some suppliers wood wicks burn well and others do not. I know about a year ago candle wic's burned well for us. Yes everyone has an opinion on theym and they are varried.. your gonna get the same results here in this thread as the results provided by search... ;-)
  8. What were the results when you searched? There are TONS of info about wooden wicks out there.
  9. IMHO only.... over the past year JS oils have went downhill in quality. Been replacing the few that we use as we run out. I will say this though the vanilla bomb ROCKS! Mulberry spice, fudge brownie, cream brulee, blueberry cheesecake, lilac have all changed for me.. no longer good throwers.. Havent tried many NG oils but after these reviews im gonna mosey on over there and get some samples.
  10. I can point you in the right direction for the answers for ALL of your questionfd and man more you will have along your journey in one word SEARCH! There is so much wealth avaliable free fof charge on this board. Make a pot of coffe and grab a snack you will be reading for a looong time.
  11. WOW.. small world. Ask her if shes ever been to Lees bakery :-) alot of the torrance employees are regulars there.
  12. Those are awesome for decorations! The flowered ones are totally a neat idea! Maybe make them WOTHOUT a wick?
  13. Awhile back we tried varios ways to make dye flakes. One of the ways was to make a chunk of hard wax with dye ( pillar blend, straight para etc) then put it through a food chopper. I would imagine its the same concept.
  14. The eaasiest way to guarantee they do not burn is to use a glass insert.
  15. With the low low costs for any type of dye used in candles it seems to be a bit cost prohibitive to make your own.. just saying
  16. Yup we are in that area small town called Blairsville. Never heard of whipsie. Theres alot to seeo n top of the mountain there. Lotsa beautiful views in the fall months. Living next to CS would bankrupt us lol!
  17. Just ran a whois search on it.. dolmain is valid till 2018. Hopefully they come back i bought a few things there...Stinks to see all these suppliers going the way of the dinosaur.
  18. add soy top the non organic list too... <ducks>
  19. If its one of their 3 wick candles BE CAREFUL,, It will clean the sides of the glass for sure..... as the glass will get insanely hot... We burned a pine something one of theirs. They are WAY WAY WAY overwicked. Hate to bad mouth anyones candles but they are dangerous.
  20. Fianally get rolling with a commision based 2 tier system for our resellers..... 2 years been toying with it and STILL havent got it done... The to do list keeps geting longer and longer..
  21. EAC owners name is John and he is a great guy. His wife Susan is nice too. Jennyjo we are south of indiana in Blairsville PA. Probably more ike 30 mins away for us but backwoods said they could meet for a local pickup inIndiana which is awesome.
  22. Ive searched here and the net.... We all say zincs burn cool, but WHY? Any chemists or super smart people out there that would know the answer? Just been bugging me lol
  23. Thats one of the reasons we use CS they are certainly on the ball! lvoe most of their oils and shipping is VERY reasonable...Love peaks too but shipping is cost prohibitive..
  24. Thanks for the info steve! Will check them out 6006 is scarce in our area. We tried candlewics soy/para blend cbl 130? meh with it. Been using 6006 for awhile really happy with it but the shipping is a killer. Will def check out candlemakers store. Really wish bacwoods carried it as they are about 20 mins away... hint hint wink wink... Even thought of playing with 223 for that very reason. We used to buy alot from candlerock.com when they were in new kensington but they have since shut the doors....
