  1. You gals have been very helpful. Thank you for taking the time to help me. I've bookmarked the handy conversion charts. When I try out the body butter, I'll let you know how it turns out Thanks again Sandy
  2. I don't think my scale will go that low. Is there some other way, maybe in teaspoons. You can tell I wasn't very good at math. If i'm getting on your nerves, please just ignore me LOL Sandy
  3. Well, I'm not sure, I bought a sample of the body butter already in the jar from the supplier I use. ( same size jar I want to use for when I want to make more) She said it was 2oz and not to use any more than 1% fo. So I think she meant, there was 2oz of body butter in there. Is this making any sense to you. Thanks you gals for your help Sandy
  4. OK, I have a question. I want to make my own body butter, but don't want to make a whole bunch the same scent. I have 2oz jars, and you are only supposed to add 1% FO. So my question is...what is 1% of 2oz TIA Sandy
  5. Can someone tell me what fragrance supplier goes by SW. Maybe Scent Works???
  6. Has anyone ever seen the mason jar lamps. They have a string of mini lights inside and is filled with pot pourri. I have seen them somewhere and can't remember where. I've searched and searched with no luck. I would love to know how to make them. Any help would be great Sandy

  8. I buy all my molds from Fleximolds. Wonderful to deal with, great assortment, not sure if they carry the one you're looking for. But it's worth checking out. www.fleximolds.com. I think that's the site.
  9. If 175 is too warm, them why couldn't you put them in before it reaches the 175. Th oven has to preheat. Then you could take them out before it reaches 175. Just a thought
  10. Do these need warning labels or ingredient labels. If so what would the wording be? Could this mixture also be used at that strength for refreshing pot pourri or car air freshner blanks. Maybe use a sprayer instead of the dropper?TIA
  11. What type of bottle would you use for these. I'm thinking probably amber glass ? What size sells the best for you. 2oz or 4oz? TIA
  12. Yeah I love making these too. My hubby does some wood working, so any small pieces of wood that he's going to throw out, I use a big drill bit and drill holes all through the wood and collect all the wood chips for my fire starters. In a half hour, I can get a 2 quart container full of chips. I also use the baking cups. Through the years I have bought so many candles, I would burn about half and if it didn't give off a good scent, I would stop using it. I mean really, what is the point? Don't we all want a great smelling candle. So that is what use for my fire starters. Beats throwing the wax out. I'm a penny pincher, I hate to waste anything. Just call me El Cheapo Sandy
  13. Hey Lindsay, are you doing the Milton Craft show this weekend. I'm gonna try and get there. I missed the fall one
  14. How do you get your icing to stay so white. Mine always take on the color of the cinna bun. I'd have to hide those from the hubby or he would probably take a bit out of one
  15. Wendy, when I click on your site, it says page not found. ?????
  16. Well dah me, I didn't post the ones here in Ontario, but it looks like you don't need them now by the looks of the ones in BC.
  17. Here are a couple in Ontario. Haven't tried them yet so don't know what the shipping is like. HTH
  18. You might want to start with a yellow and add some brown
  19. Here's a couple more to check out www.frenchhillcountry.com www.fleximolds.com
  20. I use a coffee scoop for tiny molds and for making embeds. Works great
  21. Another good way to make a mold of the jar bottom is to use some kind of material like children's molding clay. You can get it and any dollar store. Then put your template in the mold. Then if you don't need it anymore, you ball it up an make another size.I use the popsicle stick with a hole drilled in it to centre my wick at the top. An to keep the stick from moving off centre, I put a little dab of molding material on each sides of the rim, press down, use a clothes pin to keep the wick taut.
