  1. Not very good at coming up with names... lol... sorry... I did come up with Wicks Aglow...I'll keep racking my brain.... ~Kristen~
  2. Sometimes FO quality can cause you not to have a great scent throw... are you using a reputable supplier? Stirring very well before pouring? How much FO are you adding per pound of wax? Is 6006 a paraffin wax or soy?? I'm sorry I'm not familiar with it. ~Kristen~
  3. I tried C-3 too Malaki when I first started, and your so very right!!! It's a hard wax to work the kinks out of.. although I really liked how it seemed to look smooth in my container candles.. Now, I'm using Celestial Soy from TN Candle Supply. It's easy to work with, I get perfect tops, have wonderful scent throw, and since I'm in VA, when I ship it UPS I get it the day after. The only thing I have issue's with is frosting, but I had that when I used C-3 too.. Soy wax seems to be prone to frosting with certain colors.. my oranges and red's do it a lot. ~Kristen~
  4. For those of you that carry this fragrance, would you mind sharing with me what color you color it? I've been thinking about a green... maybe a jade green... but I'm not really even sure what color Chai is... lol... Any input is appreciated! TIA! ~Kristen~
  5. I think it would look ok. I've seen pictures and stuff that has a combination of lavender and yellow with cream colors. The jungle one sounds pretty interesting too. ~Kristen~
  6. Hmm.. I think I'd say shiny patches... you can tell it in your jars. It looks like the wax just hasn't stuck to the jar... does that make sense? Maybe someone else can jump in with a better explanation. HTH! ~Kristen~
  7. Soy wax does a frosting thing sometimes that looks similar to what's going on with your candle. It doesn't affect the way the candle burns or smells, but it can be a pain. ~Kristen~
  8. My Favorite right now is LEMON CHEESECAKE from TN Candle Supply Best Seller right now is CREME BRULEE from Snowtop ~Kristen~
  9. Anyone tried PIXIE DUST or PROVACATIVE from Just Scent? I think they both sound interesting, and since they have a picture of Marilyn Monroe, who I'm a HUGE fan of for the Provacative, I'm interested, but I'd like to see opinons from anyone else that has tried these 2. TIA! ~Kristen
  10. My primary seller is my candles, but I also make M&P soap... just got started with doing it though, but I'm having a huge response from my customers that are wanting soap as well as candles! You can try www.candlebusinessforms.com for free printable forms... you might find a good one for a fundraiser on there! HTH! ~Kristen~
  11. They look great! I've been wanting to try a wine glass, but I use soy wax, and your's with the gel is very true looking! TFS! ~Kristen~
  12. Very nice! And I think Patience's idea of the "Sherbet Collection" is awesome! TFS!!! ~Kristen~
  13. Yep, that's it! Great! I buy from ICS, so next order I place, which should be soon will include that fragrance!!! Thanks for the help, and the tip to mix it with the new Cinnamon Buns!! I'll have to give it a try!!!! Thanks again! ~Kristen~
  14. Anyone use this Fragrance and know where I can find it? A customer asked me to refill as jar for her (I don't normally do this, but she is a VERY good customer, and I have told her all the could be's with refilling, and she's ok with it) and the jar she asked me to refill is not mine. It comes from a different company and it still has the scent tag on there, and it is Praline Caramel Sticky Buns... I can catch a wiff of it in the jar, and it smells SO good!!! I wouldn't just refill a jar, much less a jar that isn't mine, for just anyone, and I have examined the jar thoroughly and forewarned her that it could crack, etc. The only reason she wants me to refill it, is b/c she loves the lid that goes with it... lol.. It's a 32 ounce Apothecary style jar with the old fashioned black metal handle style lid. TIA! ~Kristen~
  15. My yellows are: Buttercream Frosting (pale yellow) Country Bumpkin (yellowish orange) Hawaiian Pineapple Lemon Drop Pineapple Upside Down Cake (yellow brown) Vanilla Coconut (pale yellow) HTH! ~Kristen~
  16. For the other poster that's from VA... I live in VA also, just across the state, and I just recently got done checking on this... The lowest I was quoted was $769 a year. If you're able to find it cheaper, would you please let me know!!!???! TIA! The highest went on up into the thousands. They were baffled at why I was wanting insurance, saying that the purchaser of the candle was using at their own risk, and that if they sat it under a curtain that caught on fire, and burned their house down, it was their own problem, and that when a fire insepector went in to do the inspection, they would be able to pretty much pin point the actual issue. I don't know... I'm saving to be able to afford it... I don't do much, but I'm hoping to eventually get larger and larger! Better safe than sorry.... ~Kristen~
  17. Another vote for Snowtop's Cinnamon Buns... but, I noticed a lot said that ICS had a good one too... I order from them as well, and will have to give it a try! ~Kristen~
  18. NG also has the thing where for every $100 you spend you get $1 in credit and can allow your $$ to build up, redeem at anytime... takes an awful lot to get a substantial amount to redeem though! :undecided ~Kristen~
  19. Wow! You guys have some amazing candles going on there!!! Awesome colors!!! Great job! TFS! ~Kristen~
  20. I think they all look really great! And, the cats a beauty!! Makes me wanna give pillars a try!!! TFS! ~Kristen~
  21. Wow! Amazing job! I like all the layers!!! TFS! ~Kristen~
  22. What would you say your top 3 -5 best selling scents are for this time of year? Are they different according to seasons? So far it seems like mine are : Chocolate Covered Cherries ~ NG (this was going to be a seasonal thing for V-Day but everyone LOVES it.... so it's hanging around for awhile) Creme Brulee ~ Snowtop Love Spell (type) ~ NG Hot Orange Danish ~ NG ~Kristen~
  23. My personal fav's are... SNOWTOP ~ Incredible oils!!!! I think her warning labels are the cheapest that I've found too, and the USPS shipping to me in VA is reasonable! TN Candle Supply ~ Wax and FO. If I ship UPS, I recieve my package the next day!!! Nu-Scents ~ Wicks and FO. I started out with this supplier, but the shipping was killing me, but I still use them for wicks and certain oils. Nature's Garden ~ FO, M&P soap, molds. They have TONS of FO's, and most of my line is from there. Millcreek ~ FO's. I use several, and am considering adding several more... Indiana Candle Supply ~ Just tried them, and I'm loving their FO that I ordered, and the shipping is a great price for me too! Bittercreek ~ Aroma beads! I use these to make ornies/air fresheners... and I want to try some of their oils. These are my main suppliers, although there are several more that I'd like to try... HTH! ~Kristen~
  24. Lily of the Valley, Wisteria, Grandpa's Garden from TN Candle Supply... and right now, when you put MARCH NEWS in your suggestions box, you get $2.00 off an 8 ounce bottle!!!! I've tried the three listed above, and they are fantastic! Had a friend with a very large house test Lily of the Valley for me, and she said it filled her WHOLE house!! HTH! ~Kristen~
  25. I use the high temp glue sticks with my glue gun, and I've never had a problem... I have to dig the glue and stuff out after the candle has burnt all the way down. I use a good dollop of glue on the tabs before putting them down too. HTH! ~Kristen~
