  1. I don't write myself out a check... I'm not in any kind of shop or anything, just my home. For self employment net over $400, that would be after supplies, etc. right? I just did a Schedule C this year on my taxes, b/c it was my first year doing this, and I honestly didn't make $400 after all of my supplies and other costs. I didn't write my gas mileage off last year, but I want to this year b/c business is picking up for me and I make deliveries at least 2 -3 times a week. For stuff like income taxes and stuff, do you just estimate what to pay or is there a process to find out? And, when you go to file taxes at the end of the year, does the IRS send you something like a W-2? Sorry for all the questions... I'm still trying to figure this part of it all out! Thanks for the help!!! ~Kristen~
  2. I'm in VA. I have the business license, pay sales tax, and even though I don't have any employees, I have the FEIN. Now, I'm wondering about Federal Withholding Tax, and stuff like Medicaid... can anyone help me? Do I need to register to pay this? Do I EVEN need to pay these since it's just me!? I thought I would just need to pay sales tax.. but now, I'm not sure... I don't want to get in trouble, certainly not with the IRS, so any help, advice, or suggestions would be appreciated!!! TIA! ~Kristen~
  3. For those of you that have purchase or have purchased your scents from Taylored Concepts, would you mind sharing with me some of your favorites? They have a whole lot of scents!!! lol.. Also, anyone know where I can get the scent Goddess for cheaper than what Old Mill carries it for? Thanks in advance for your help!!! ~Kristen~
  4. Blueberry Muffins from Snowtop... Hubby hates it, but man, it sells good! I'm also trying Blueberry Cheesecake from Indiana Candle Supply! Smells great OOB!!! HTH! ~Kristen~
  5. I just recently tried a new supplier myself... Indiana Candle Supply. SO far, SO good! All of the samples that I ordered, smell realllllllly good OOB. Haven't put but a few in wax, and they still smelled great. I do order from NG and I like most of their oils. I have come across some that I didn't like. I do like their little reward thing where for every $100 you spend you get $1 off... it's not a lot, but hey, any savings can help! HTH! ~Kristen~
  6. The Green Apple IS amazing! I can smell it for what seems like days after making a batch of it! I also like the Creme Brulee from there... VERY popular... as well as the Cinnamon Buns & Banana Nut Bread! HTH! ~Kristen~
  7. Millcreek has them too. Fairly reasonable! HTH! ~Kristen~
  8. Can't be much help to you with the wax, b/c I use a different one, and I use jelly jars, but I do order from Millcreek, and they do have great fo's. They have great prices on their Clamshell's as well. You can order a sample pack of FO from Millcreek to test to see if you like them! HTH! ~Kristen~
  9. I make my car air fresheners differently. I make them as you would ornies... Found the recipe on Bittercreek's Board. I use aroma beads that soak up the oils, melt in shapes, put a ribbon threw, and I'm done. I make them slightly thicker so that in hot temps they don't melt as easily. HTH! ~Kristen~
  10. I order some from Millcreek too... their Fresh Cut Roses is dead on... and for Christmas, I really LOVE the Mint Candy Cane. I also order from Nature's Garden, Nu-Scents, TN Candle Supply, Indiana Candle Supply, and Snowtop. Different oils from every site!! HTH! ~kristen~
  11. I agree with the above posters on Hot Orange Danish, Love Spell, the Downy dupes, and Hillbilly Homebrew (Haven't tried any of the others they listed...) also, the Black Raspberry Vanilla is great, the Frangelico Streusel has become one of my top sellers, the Angel Wings is incredibly popular, Butt Naked, Home Sweet Home, Sugar Cookie is Great, Country Bumpkin is very popular for me, CInnamon Sticks is a close second to the Frangelico Streusel, Strawberry Shortcake's nice, Hot Baked Apple Pie, and Chocolate Covered Cherries (I can't STAND it, but it's a VERY good seller for me!!!) HTH! ~Kristen~
