  1. I didn't catch my mistake when I said cut it in half. I cut my wax amount in half. I had no seepage with this oil. Wouldn't 12% be 16 ounces of wax with 2 ounces of oil? I've never used that much. I was thinking I was using more along the lines of 9% fragrance load. ~SliverofWax~ I'll do some research and check out the amounts of everything in grams. I certainly may find that easier. Thank you for the suggestion. I just wanted to share that I thought this was a fabulous scent, and that if you order from ICS and get the chance to try it you might really like it. ~Kristen~
  2. When I weighed everything out, I used 8 ounces wax and 1 ounce fo. Leftover wax is poured into melts. I always start by using 1.5 oz fo per lb. of wax, so I just basically cut it in half. You could probably even cut back to just half an ounce with this oil. I'll have to test that next and see. **I am slightly mathematically challenged, but I do weigh out stuff on a digital scale. DH is the mathematical person in the family.** ~Kristen~
  3. Omg! I just test burned this for the first time today, and wow! It is a strong thrower in my soy wax. I know we are all looking for great scents to try, and I think that this is one of them. I'll be adding it to my line soon. Used 415 soy wax, 1 ounce fo to 1/2 pound wax. 8 ounce jj with a HTP 126 wick (could probably get by with a 105). I do color my wax. Cured about 2 weeks (b/c I forgot all about it!!! lol...) Filled my bedroom & bathroom (which are decent sized...) and could smell out into my livingroom/kitchen. Husband opened bedroom door and the scent was knock you over strong! Just thought I'd share! ~Kristen~
  4. Nature's Garden Tennessee Candle Supplies BCN Millcreek And, I'm finding that I really LOVE Candle Science!!! ~Kristen~
  5. The Celestial Soy from Tennessee Candle Supplies has PLAIN 415 on the box.. this is the soy wax that I use.. would this be the same wax as well? TIA! ~Kristen~
  6. Soooo sorry this happened to you!!! Husband's just don't know... they are clueless. My own DH decided he just HAD to clean out my craft room..... I keep all of my Candle, Soap, and Scrapbooking stuff in this room. I was just lucky enough to get to the 2 bags of "trash" and go threw them before he took them out. I was totally P*ssed when I recovered my "trash"... Grrr... I hope that maybe after you are able to clear your head some your info will come back to you. ~Kristen~
  7. Best seller this year for me was PUMPKIN APPLE BUTTER (NG)... in fact, it soared to all time best seller for me. And, not far behind it was Mint Candy Cane (MC). ~Kristen~
  8. Me, me, me! And, I don't even work full or part time. I am a SAHM with a 4 year old little boy, an 15 week old Cocker Spaniel pup, and I've been pouring candles all day... and some of the night. I've finished my Christmas shopping, but have no decorations up. DS is hounding me to put the tree up, so I have to get that done this weekend!!! ~Kristen~
  9. Baked Apples here as well... but I like Millcreek's Apple Jack & Peel too... Haven't tried Snowtop's Apple Jack yet though. ~Kristen~
  10. I'll have to give it a try the next time I place an order from there. I LOVE their Pumpkin Apple Butter... it has skyrocketed to my All Time Best Seller. I poured a candle in that for myself the other night, and it cured almost 24 hours... and whew! Very strong... DH was doing a lot of complaining b/c he hates the smell of it! ~Kristen~
  11. I use Creme Brulee from Snowtop (now at ICS) and it is really strong in my soy. It's one of my top sellers all year round. HTH! ~Kristen~
  12. I really like the PUMPKIN APPLE BUTTER from NG. It's one of their new scents. It's become my fav scent! ~Kristen~
  13. Currently, I'm testing NG's Fresh Peach. I let it cure for about 3 days before first burn, and it wasn't much... not even a slight scent throw, so I let it cure some more... like a week, and tried it again, and now it's really nice... fills my bedroom and my bathroom. I use soy wax. To me, it smells exactly like a fresh peach. I also have Blushing Peaches and Perfect Peach from ICS to test to see which Peach I'll be adding to my line. ~Kristen~
  14. Thanks! I found some!!! ~Kristen~
  15. Oops.. sorry, it is Snowtop. Sorry! ~Kristen~
  16. I'm in a bit of a jam... I had a lady (pretty good customer) call me today and place an order for 8 of the Pint Mason Jars in Creme Brulee. I use Creme Brulee from ST, and have that on my "to order" list... I have around 2 ounces of oil left and ST is closed for 2 weeks. She wants/needs these by Friday b/c she's going to PA where her family lives and is taking them as gifts. Does anyone know of a Creme Brulee that is like ST's? Or does anyone have any ST Creme Brulee laying around they'd be willing to sell? Post here or Email me.... I'm figuring I'll need about 6 ounces give or take...(minus my 2) Any help/suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!!! TIA!!! ~Kristen~
  17. Thanks everyone! I went with a light brown! ~Kristen~
  18. I only use Cinderella too. While it's not MY favorite (it's too musky for me) I have customers that LOVE it.... so I keep it. I'm wanting to try Beach Baby myself, b/c I have a friend that loves the beach themed scents. HTH! ~Kristen~
  19. Another vote for ST's Blueberry Muffin. It's one of my best sellers! HTH! ~Kristen~
  20. I've never tried the Key Lime Pie from there... I started with Snowtop's Key Lime and have been hooked ever since. It smells very real to my nose, and they do have fantastic oils! It's not as pricy as what you quoted BCN's to be either. HTH! ~Kristen~
  21. Cotton Candy from NG's is really nice! ~Kristen~
  22. Great idea Suzanne! I'm going to be pouring today, so I think I'm going to give that a shot and see if it helps! I still get wet spots too, and I've tried pouring slow, pouring fast, pouring medium slow/fast... etc. etc. etc. I've learned to live with them, but if something like this will keep them away, then it's worth the little bit of extra work! Thanks for the post! ~Kristen~
  23. In the little sample bottle they sent me, I thought it smelled flowery too.. but then when I put that little bit of FO in wax. I really wanted to see if it would smell the same OOB as it did in, it was different. And, then when I ordered a bigger bottle I could really tell the difference. I think it smells spicy, but everyone's nose is different and pulls out different scents. ~Kristen~
  24. Nu-Scents.. it seems to have a spicy sort of scent to it. I don't recall if I've ever smelled Chai so I don't know if it's normal or not.. I like it though!!! lol... ~Kristen~
